Excellent Service

I ordered a special hamper to thank some friends for their great kindness to me. I chose carefully and was pleased with my decision. I had planned for the hamper to arrive on a Monday, someone from Basketsgalore phoned me to explain that they were reluctant to dispatch perishable goods over the weekend, I was pleased that they had explained their policy since it made perfect sense.
My friends were thrilled with the hamper, but during the conversation it became apparent that they had not received the smoked salmon or the air dried ham. I was really dissappointed since I knew that they were particularly fond of smoked salmon, indeed its inclusion in the hamper had been one of the reasons I had chosen it. I e-mailed the customer service department at Basketsgalore, they were most helpful, there was no question that they would look into the matter. I was then told that the smoked salmon and ham, being perishable objects, were placed in a special pack in the hamper, on questioning my friend he said he had seen such a packet and thought it was part of th internal packaging and had thrown it away with all the other packaging. Basketsgalore did not question thus and said they would speak to the relavent department to check whether everything had been properly labelled.......
A few days later my friend telephoned to say he had received a pack of smoked salmon and dried ham from Basketsgalore....
I thought this was excellent service, the company did not question where the fault lay, just immediately solved the problem to the satisfaction of all concerned. I hope such good customer service will be rewarded, for I can certainly recommend Baskets galore.
