I bought 3 helicopters for my kids, 2 where not working properly sending them back to England was the only option. You can mail forever endless excuses , next week we ship it back and again and again for 3 months ... Now even the e-mails are not answered no contact possible. Worst company!! They take your products by not returning them

“Absolutely awful company - AVOID!!”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 18/01/2013

My sister bought me (and her boyfriend) one of the Viper remote control helicopters as a Christmas present from these people and was told that a 10-minute charge would give 10 minutes flying time. Wrong – 45 minutes of charging gives 6 or 7 minutes flying time, so she was lied to by the salesman! On Boxing day the tail rotor motor failed. I emailed the company and as it was the holiday period didn't expect a quick reply. After the holidays it took three further emails and finally a phone call to get any response from them. They told me to sent the copter back for a repair and I said as it was one day old I wasn't going to settle for a repair and that I wanted a replacement. I did have serious doubts as the guy I spoke to couldn't have sounded less interested if he'd tried. When I asked him about the cost of sending it back he told me that they wouldn’t refund me the cost in money but in spare parts! After about 10 days I received the replacement. It wasn’t a new copter but a badly repaired model. Firstly it wouldn't fly properly - it suffered from a phenomenon known as "toilet bowl effect", which I managed to fix, only to discover it was also suffering from drifting to the side. I sought advice about the drifting in some of the forums on the Internet which suggested I tried to move the battery, which if in the wrong place could cause the drift. It was then that I noticed that the wires from the battery to the circuit board had been cut, and then joined together with masking tape, which was how the battery was also held in!!! As if this wasn't enough the LED which should have been in the nose had also been cut off - the remains of the wires were there but the LED was completely missing. Of course I've been unable to contact theflyzone.co.uk by phone and the two emails I’ve sent have gone unanswered. My sister's contacting Visa to have the money refunded if there's no response from theflyzone.co.uk in the next few days, but for anyone considering buying from this company, DON'T!! Go to Amazon.co.uk instead and buy something like a Syma helicopter from them – they’re actually cheaper too! It’s what I’ve done today.

“Worst Customer Service ”

★☆☆☆☆

written by RHall73 on 11/07/2012

I've used the internet many times to gauge people's thoughts on certain websites and reliability and I'd been successful in avoiding bad service... until now. I purchased an RC Thunder helicopter from "theflyzone.co.uk" which on arrival from new had issues. The Helicopter seemed to just fall out of the sky and cut out which after an email and repeated phone calls they presumed was a faulty board. This made sense as the red LED light on the board did fail on inspection. So at my own cost I had to send back the item (refund for shipping back is paid in cost x2 of extra parts, not cash) which I wasn't pleased about but what other option was there? Anyway after waiting a week on return and no word from flyzone I emailed, no reply, then called and ask for an outcome. No one had even looked at the item so I plainly said I'd like a refund as your wasting my time. I was told the person who deals with refunds was not available till Monday and call back. I did this and was then told a refund would come in the format of a cheque, they can't do card refunds without the card.. (so how do you order online, they don't reach through my PC for the card??) Anyway it's been 3 additional weeks now and no cheque. I've been promised it will arrive on numerous occasions and still no sign. It's got to the point where I've had to contact Trading Standards and report the issue as the service is just so bad. The woman who answers the phone sounds as if she's strapped to the chair and made to answer calls and well the person who tells me the cheque is in the post (which we've all heard in the past) I think is just lying through his teeth. Flyzone list interesting information about themselves on their website which is as follows: "We invite you to buy with confidence from this most prestigious company." "We have recieved excellent reviews and customer-feedback and have,of course, an edge on our competitors." Well I have zero confidence in ever solving this issue and as for customer feedback, I've never seen any or read any. In fact I joined this website just to inform others of the awful experience I've had as I would hate others to go through the aggreviation of what I'm currently having to deal with. So presently I'm £70 out of pocket with no product, lousy customer service and no helicopter to play with. If you don't mind all this and people stealing your money then this is the place for you.
