I ORDERED A WORK OUT DVD IN APRIL AND I AM STILL WAITING I HAVE PHONE THEM MANY TIMES AT FIRST SPOKE TO A YOUNG LASS WHO WAS NOT VERY HELPFULL KEPT FOBBING ME OFF, I HAVE ALSO SENT NUMEROUS E.MAILS BUT TO NO AVAIL SO I AM STILL WAITING AND I WILL NOT GIVE UP ON THESE PEOPLE WORD OF ADVICE DO NOT GET ANYTHING FROM HERE!!!!!!!

“A total and utter con - Do not use.”

Utter con. They take your money upfront (which the website states they do not) They do not deliver goods. They do not deliver refunds. Enough said. Do not use this website even if you think you are getting a good deal. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I am still trying to get my money back after 3 months and refuse to give up purely to ensure they receive emails and hopefully keep them busy and make them hopefully start to reconsider their set up. Then again I am not losing sleep over this - thankfully the cost was not significant.

“Rip off”

If i could give a zero i would.Ordered a 3ds aqua on the 10th april for £184.99 for my daughters birthday which was 2 weeks later,i waited for a week with no email from them when i phoned and eventually got through was told they only had the black one in stock but where expecting a delivery that day and would have it delivered in 2 days,when it did not arrive they give the same excuse,i cancelled 2 days before my daughters birthday on the 21st apr and went out and bought one,since then after numerous conversations with the same excuse of the financial department were having problems they have switched off the phones they tell you to email which they don't respond to.I think this company is luck of the draw where you might have a 50% chance of receiving your goods.Stear clear at all costs thieving B******S.

“IF I COULD GIVE A LOWER RATING I WOULD”

Do not do as I did and be suckered into buying anything from Games Basement because of its apparent comparatively low prices and by its slick website. Remember a golden rule; if it seems too good to be true, it probably is too good to be true. On 12 June 2011 thought I bought a Nintendo 3DS Console for £157.99. Guess what?...still no console and/or no refund! The following are a list of lies (and, to be fair, a truth) I’ve had from Games Basement in the meantime: • You will be charged for your purchase of the Goods when we have despatched the Goods. – LIE! MY CREDIT CARD WAS CHARGED IMMEDIATELY AFTER PAYMENT. THE CONSOLE HAS NEVER BEEN DESPATCHED. • (After sending a message to Games Basement asking what’s happening with my order) Email received 16 June 2011 stating “Delivery Status : Dispatched” – LIE! IT HAS NEVER BEEN DESPATCHED. • Email received 17 June 2011 stating “On the 16/6/11 your order is in the process of being packed and sent off” – LIE! NOT ONLY DOES THIS CONTRADICT THEIR PREVIOUS EMAIL, BUT ALSO THE CONSOLE HAS NEVER BEEN DESPATCHED. • EMAIL RECEIVED 30 June 2011 “Games Basement are now processing your order for cancellation. It will take me aprroximately 24 hours to recall this item back from the courier… You shall receive a separate email notification to confirm when the refund has been processed by the finance team, this can usually take 7 working days (but it may be done sooner).” - LIE! THE CONSOLE HAS NEVER BEEN DESPATCHED SO THERE WAS NOTHING TO RECALL FROM A COURIER. THEY CAN’T SPELL APPROXIMATELY. AND AS FOR THE REFUND, READ ON • EMAIL RECEIVED 01 July 2011 “The Finance dept has confirmed this cancellation and will email you within the next 48 hours (working) regarding your refund.” - LIE! I HAD TO ASK IF THEIR ‘WORKING’ HOURS ACCTUALLY MEANT TWO DAYS (BECAUSE I GOT NOTHING AFTER THAT PERIOD OF TIME) OR IF I SHOULD CONSIDER THAT THEY DO 9 TO 5! • Email received 18 July 2011 “we are currently processing you for a refund but we do have 30 working days to do so, as stated in the terms and conditions.” - TRUE! ALTHOUGH I WOULD SUGGEST SUCH AN ANSWER IS NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE BEST PRACTICE, AND (OF COURSE) 30 ‘WORKING’ DAYS LATER I STILL HAVE NO REFUND. THIS IS NOW IN THE HANDS OF MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY. If you consider having anything to do with Games Basement, make up your own mind from all of the above and use common sense. Not touching them even with a barge pole is common sense. And I’d be wary of customer satisfaction ratings from eKomi too.

“Cyber Dick Turpins”

Do not under any circumstances order from this company. They will take your money at the drop of a hat but you will not see your goods. You will be unable to contact them by any means other than email. You will recieve endless and worthless guarantees that your goods are on the way... I ordered a Nintendo DS in plenty of time for my son's birthday, after a waiting two weeks I cancelled as I would have no present for my son. I was promised a full refund within 5 working days! Currently I am playing email tennis with them, promised and promised refund in every email I've lost count of how many times. Its now the 6th August, I placed my order 20th May, still no refund! I've refered everything to my credit card company who are taking up my cause. This company appears good value, it is merely a front to get your cash, I wish I'd read some reviews before I placed an order. “just awful”

i ordered a xbox 360 controller in may, it's now 22 july and still not been delivered. gamesbasement never answer telephone/email, so it's a scam website never buy from these jokers it's a nightmare and you'll not get your money back aswell.
