I purchased a laptop in January, 23 and when McAfee somehow managed to take my annual fee from my account despite my having cancelled the auto renew. So I contacted Currys within the required timescale to send back the McAfee part of my order. I explained I no longer required McAfee software as it would be duplicated. They agreed, asked for the unopened software to be returned and arranged a collection. This was complied with and I had it collected on 28th March. I have the receipt from the courier. Despite several contacts, ALL from ME, despite promises of compliance in, "24 to 48 hours", now over a week ago, I have nothing, no software, no money after 31 days. This return was MUTUALLY AGREED. Currys have my £79.99 and can't even contact me. Unbelievable rudeness. This goes far beyond the period where had I received the refund, Currys would have preserved my STATUTORY RIGHTS to return my refund in 14 days. It will cost me nothing to take them to the Small Claims Court and all costs will be accumulated by Currys. So pay up now and save yourself a packet.p.s. I've won in the SCC before with someone else.
