“Shocking Customer Service”

Shocking Customer Service! Purchased a very expensive Rational Oven and Stand, at a cost of £7k ++ expecting a speedy delivery, given the name of the company 'next day catering', more like next week, month or never! I was informed the item was in stock and I made it very clear I needed a specific type of model, single phase electricity not 3 Phase. I communicated this via the order form, email and a telephone conversation. This additional info fell on deaf ears, as the first delivery, which arrived 6 days later, not next day, was incorrect, they sent a 3 phase oven, which I only found out about, after spending quite some time unpacking it. Even though this was Next Day Caterings mistake, I was told I had to re-pack it and have it ready for a courier. Getting that courier organised was also a painful experience, I won't bore you with the details, lets just say it took several days of back and forth; and many attempts to get through to their shocking customer services team, who never seem to answer their calls! Point to note, the oven was advertised with a starter pack worth £250, which never arrived with the first oven order. The 2nd oven arrived several days later (i don't live near or work at the unit, so I'm having to make special trips 1.5 hr round trips and take time off work!!), anyway, 2nd oven arrives, 1. without the starter pack, 2. without the detergent and 3 MOST IMPORTANT, without the necessary pipes, which means the oven couldn't even be used. I was promised the starter pack, pipes, manual and detergent would arrive today, but they didn't. The shocking customer service haven't picked up any calls, I've called about 6 times and emailed 3 times, even emailed the CEO...... tumbleweed!! I've spent £7k+ on a piece of kit I can't use, because Next Day Catering are completely inept and doing the basics of ordering from a supplier and tracking that order and providing a semi decent level of service to their customers. I needed the oven last week and it's now looking like my opening date of my cafe will be delayed, which is going to be very costly as I've spent a small fortune on advertising etc. I would strongly suggest you find another company to provide your commerical kitchen appliances, because Next Day Catering are not up to the job, far from it.

Ordered an extractor on 22nd February. Was told it shipped 27th February. Clearly untrue as it isn’t here - no tracking either. No longer replying to any messages, emails and they don’t answer the phone. They have now also blocked me on Facebook! I’ve requested a charge back through my credit card company - do not deal with this company as they have literally taken our money!

“AVOID”

AVOID!!! NOW TAKING LEGAL ACTION! I purchased a griddle from these guys, after arriving 3 weeks late it had essential missing parts and no parts manual, it was a nightmare to get through to them, eventually got through on an alternative line. They said they have no spare parts available for this and would ask the manufacturer. Heard nothing back, emailed asking for a refund and they have flat out ignored me, it breaches consumer right as well as completely avoiding their 12 month spare parts warranty. Griddle was in the sale and is now not on the site, they’ve obviously just flogged the last one without the parts. Now having to waste valuable time going down the legal route, disgusting customer service and please just go to Nisbets.

“AWFUL PRODUCTS”

Do not be fooled by cheap prices. The equipment is the WORST. We purchased a KING GST saladette for £1200. Broke after 4 months. Engineer came and said the whole compressor system needed to be replaced so its not even worth fixing it. Instead of giving us a new unit, theyre offering £450 plus we have to dispose of it ourselves. Ridiculous. AVOID

“PLEASE PLEASE DON'T BUY FROM THEM COMPANY”

I'm begging anyone reading this to please do not buy from them. Their phones are never answered (Ive been phoning all day, everyday for a week) When you try to track your order it doesn't work either. I've paid almost 500 quid for an under counter bar fridge and I've been worrying sick that I've lost my money. Please don't be fooled by their cheaper than most prices, just pay a wee bit more with another company. Please take heed

“Bad service damaged goods”

I received a fridge and a freezer damaged and have been chasing for weeks to get resolution. Customer service is non existent and now I have been offered £30 - for both. Waste of my time and wished I returned them when I had the chance. Won't be using again and would recommend you go elsewhere

Place an order for a fridge on 25th July 2022, never received this item. refusing to return my money. Forced to take legal action to get my money back. Please do not use this company, you will regret it.

“Poor customer service”

Waited approx 2 months for a lpg fryer to be delivered, it worked for approx 6 days worth of trading over the course of a few weeks, after reporting it I'm informed that I am covered for parts only, the cost of the fault diagnosis as well as finding an engineer falls to me, I then have to wait for replacement parts to be sent to me before paying again for an engineer to come out again and fix it. I have contacted this company numerous times, promised phones calls are not returned, I constantly have to chase emails up. I have yet to hear from a manager despite requesting them to contact me. Ongoing complaint - would never use this company again or recommend them to anyone else.

“Worst customer service immaginable”

As a new business we placed a substantial order for large and small equipment. The original order was placed back in April and still hasn't been fulfilled. A subsequent order from June is still missing items. In spite of numerous emails and unanswered telephone calls we are now getting in touch with Trading Standards. We have had neither an apology or an explanation as to what is going on. They were very helpful when we placed both orders but as soon as we encountered problems, they didn't want to know. Do not use this company!

Waited more than 2 weeks now for a sink that was supposed to be in stock and delivered within 2-3 days (not sure why they're called 'Next Day') No response to emails and nobody picks up the phone either. Theres plenty of other suppliers out there that might be slightly more expensive but at least they deliver as promised. Avoid for your own good!

“Order nowhere to be seen”

We ordered a number of plates from here on the 15/5/21 Firstly they assured us they were in stock, even when we questioned them as other companies couldn't get them due to a shortage. 1/3 of the order arrived, we then phoned to question where the rest was.... Low and behold they were out of stock. We said we questioned this whilst ordering over the phone, at this point they basically told us we were lying, and no staff member would have said it was in stock. Where are we now 26/6/21 still no more plates, every time we call they tell us the person we need to speak to isn't available. They tell us they'll call us back.... Nothing! The worst customer service we've experienced to date.

Placed the ordered supposed to be next day service, still no received, made a phone call after the an hour wait not answered sorry no one available to take call. Sent email no response, 35000 items in stock would be better keep 35 item and provide good service. BE CAREFUL IF YOU ORDERING, YOU ARE JUST TRYING YOUR LUCK IF ANYTHING GOES WRONG BASICALLY YOU HAVE LOST YOIR MONEY.

“AVOID !!!!! ”

Absolutely diabolical service , paid for an item which took 5 days to arrive so definitely not next day , but that’s only the beginning when the appliance stopped working after less than 4 weeks use , it took nearly 60 calls over numerous days & relentless emails which they never respond to , say they didn’t get them , even though 3 were sent via their own contact system on their web page ... Now they refuse to accept the return of the item & say I have to have an engineer look at it first !!!! It’s obviously faulty as catering equipment is meant to last longer than 4 weeks !!! Avoid at all costs !!! Absolutely disgusting service, don’t get fooled by the cheap prices , obviously sub standard goods ... Am know seeking legal advice !! Wish I’d read the reviews before ordering !! Learn from my mistake !!

Do not under any circumstances use this firm. I am still waiting for the remainder of my order to arrive after over a month from placing order. They do not return phone calls or answer emails. It is impossible to speak to anyone at this company as they use a outsourced answer phone service that say “they will pass on message and the firm will call back within 72hours” , well I can tell you after 25 phone calls to them I have yet to receive one back. I beg anyone reading this review to think again about buying from them please use another more reliable firm.

I ordered an item from this "ficticious" company on the 15 of Feb, they took my money, and i haven't heard anything from them since, even, after numerous calls to their so called answering service. There is no way i would recommend this awful company to anyone. Do not touch with a barge pole

worst company. if i could put 0 on the stars i would as the dont deserve even one. I ordered a simple small item- i dread to think what happened if i ordered a larger product. They never got back to me, took the money, No reply for emails or calls(The call center will say it will take 72hrs to reply back, but they never reply you) they said they were waiting for the item to be received to then give me a refund- its been several weeks and nothing. Absolutely worst company. Don't do any purchase with this company.

I ordered a gas hob along with an oven mid January. They delivered the oven but not the hob. They took a further 2 weeks to provide a reason why and a solution. I gave instructions that I was to be contacted regarding the delivery as the shopping centre was currently closed. I heard nothing since. During a phone call this morning, he claimed that DPD tried to deliver 3 times despite people being in the centre all month and seeing no DPD drivers (many deliveries were expected so they were being watched for), he claimed had never said the centre was closed, despite telling him specifically on the phone and adding instructions with my original order - these instructions were followed with the oven so evidently were received. Very unprofessional company, they’ve done nothing but try and fob me off and ultimately delay my tenants business by 2 months now. I have now asked for a refund and am very uncertain as to whether or not this will ever be processed. Do not buy from these people unless you want months worth of stress, hassle, being insulted and a lot of disappointment.

“Avoid this company”

Same experience as the other legitimate reviews on here. Spent money on an ice cream machine a month ago, no delivery, no contact from Next Day Catering. I first emailed to ask if I could get tracking details, no response. I’ve now emailed several times, phoned over a dozen times only to be forwarded to their call answering service, who can’t help you, can only send emails on your behalf to NDC, who then refuse to respond. Answering service advise you will he called within 72 hours. Not once has this happened. I’ve tried messaging all of their social media and emailing their Managing Director. Not a single response. After 30 days my bank will process a chargeback, so I’m just waiting for a couple of days to do that. What a shame. Avoid like the plague.
