Placed an order online at Bathrooms.com, they took my money, then shortly afterwards, e-mailed me to say I had to phone them urgently or my order would be cancelled. So I called the next day and discovered that they would only send me my order if I did one of the following:
1) Provided a landline home phone number and took a day off work to sit around waiting for them to phone me and verify I am who I say.
2) Provided a work telephone number, well sorry I don't have a direct work phone number and even if I did, I wouldn't particularly want to give it out so they can then sell it to marketing companies.
3) Took a day off work in order to accept delivery of the product, at the address which my Debit card is registered, as opposed to the provided address of a relative, where I actually required my order to be delivered.
Needless to say the order has been cancelled, I will never consider a purchase from this company again. Other companies manage to be flexible in terms of delivery address and do not have ridiculous requirements, you might think they consider it a privilege for me to give them my money, which incidentally I now have to wait to be refunded.
