Poor Customer Service

Tried to cancel my order 20 minutes after I placed it. I purchased it through Sears. Nothing on the Sears website worked. Followed the contact seller prompts and left a message requesting the cancel, I hit enter then the reply was that they will get back to me in two days. I called Sears and they gave me the company phone number. The voice mail said the google subscriber was not available. They did not identify the company. I have no idea what is going on with this order.

Book-jacking & Drop-shopping...

On 4th September, 2017, I ordered a book online from Ergode Books (only 1 copy was available from Ergode Books) though Abe Books. The book was listed as "used: very good" and priced at £28.90 with the estimated delivery given as on or before 09 October, 2017.

A couple of weeks after I placed my order, I made a polite inquiry regarding the shipment to the vendor through Abebooks and was informed that according to them (Ergode Books) the item was lost in the mail and apologized for the "postal mess". Ergode Books then provided me with 2 options; to wait 3 to 5 weeks while they procure another book or to issue a refund. I kindly refused both and requested that shipping information be provided to me in the form of either a shipping invoice or a tracking number. Ergode Books did not comply.

In the meantime, I raised the issue with Abe Books while keeping Ergode Books informed in parallel. I made it clear that I did not wish to be issued a refund and made it clear that I had no problem waiting for Ergode Books to provide me with proof of shipping or a replacement book. It was clear...nothing was send to me to start with.

Ergode Books then arbitrarily imposed a refund upon me because they decided that it would take too long to find a replacement book as there was nothing in their "warehouse" or non-availability from any of their "suppliers" while Abe Books supported the decision and processed the refund on Ergode Books behalf.

During this entire process, Ergode Books continued to list the book on Abe Books though in a degraded condition from "used: very good" to "used: good" with an increase of price from £28.90 to £117.05!!! When insisting that I would accept the present listed book in a degraded condition while the refund was enforced upon me, I became fully aware of the scam the Ergode Books is running.

Further investigation convinced me to file an official complaint through the Texas BBB as Ergode Books is listed in that state but ultimately it was transferred to the BBB in Victoria, B.C. Canada. Sadly, because the refund had been issued, there was no other recourse though it was obvious that this was also favourable to Abe Books.

In noting the long list of subsidiaires under Fast Media and AmiVentures, including Ergode Books all of which are located at the same address.while pairing my experience with many other complainants towards what is obviously drop-shopping, book-jacking, etc it is a social responsibility to inform others by exposing Ergode Books and it's subsidiaires for what they are;

None of these are legitimate, including Ergode Books; nor are they in any way acting in the better interest of their customers. They cannot even be placed within a reasonable level of trust regarding making the simple provision towards providing ordered items to clients in a timely and professional manner. They cannot even be considered a provider in any reasonable definition because they do not have an inventory!!!!

In making any queries related to Ergode Books and others connected to Ami Ventures, the internet is a treasure trove in presenting negative reviews and complaints towards them and I highly suggest that you heed the warnings.

False Advertisement Of Kenwood Speakers Kfc-6972ie 450-watt

I ordered Kenwood KFC-6972IE 450 Watt 6x9 4 way speakers from Sears. ErgodE filled that order. What I received was Kenwood KFC-6985PS speakers instead. I requested a return form. I got a major runaround plus I was expected to pay all shipping cost. I checked the Kenwood website the speakers that were advertised had been discontinued years ago.  I kept the speakers because it wasn't worth the hassle and the shipping cost to send them back. This company sucks!!

Stay Away From Ergode

I ordered from one of their many websites and a week later they still haven't shipped anything. After sending 2 emails I got a response saying it would be between 1 and 3 weeks before the item shipped. They don't stock the items they sell, they wait for you to place an order then they try to find a source for what you ordered from them. Shady, shady business.

Took Order And Money But Failed To Honor Transaction

Ordered a phone with ergode using paypal. Item had not been received after almost 3 weeks, asked them to try and trace my order which they said they would do, but next thing i get a refund through paypal. Very suspicious that their stock number never changed, and the price doubled shortly after the order was placed. Won't use again.

No Customer Service - Cheap Product

Ordered 4 chromed hubcaps (plastic) through Sears.com not knowing it was being filled by ErgodE. Saw the Sears return policy of 30 days, did not see the ErgodE policy of 7 days. For an exterior car accessory that is ridiculous! Washed the car after 9 or so days and the chrome rubbed off one of the hubcaps so I stopped. Could not get any help from Sears (big surprise), was past the 7 days so got no initial response from ErgodE. Then they said they would put me in contact with the manufacturer, TuningPros, which they couldn't (the number belonged to a woman's home). Then they said the manufacturer was in China. Tried to negotiate to buy just 1 hubcap, but that failed. They don't really care whether they provide good customer service, they just shuffle the money overseas and take their cut and live on volume.

Never Order From Ergode.

I ordered through Sears on 6/16/15 and was expecting the product delivered on 6/23/15 as it said on the Sears site when I looked the order up the nest day. It did not arrive. I called Sears and they said I had to contact the Vendor that they could not do anything. I did. I got the opinion that they could care less. They told me they follow mail service standards. I ask why it said the 23rd and got no answer. I asked what could be done about it and they said nothing. In my opinion they didn't really care. I will never purchase anything from that company again and would not recommend anyone else to either. Also when the product came it was in terrible shape.

Do Not Shop Here.... Ever

I purchased an item from the site. When it arrived it was very cheap looking! When I went to return it, took them forever to respond to my request to return it. When they finally responded they told me that they were charging a 25% restocking fee?!?!?!? WTH!!!! It did not say at check out or on the receipt, it did not warn anywhere. When I tried to search for the restocking fee it was no where to be found so I figured it was buried somewhere on their website. I asked them to waive it and they told me they 'HAVE TO" charge the fee. I was so upset because there goes money down the the drain and I'm still waiting for my refund. Worst experience ever, very underhanded and deceitful practices. Shop anywhere else, not here.

Good But Could Be More Better

This site worked well for me. But was disappointed with the shipping charges it cost me. The product price was rather reasonable then why they had to charge 5$ shipping for just 15$ item. Could have reduced the shipping cost…. But overall experience was good. Next, tym when I buy something from here I expect the shipping charges to be low as well.
