“no leotards after almost 6 weeks...”

Ordered two leotards on 31st july, contacted them via email and no reply, tried on FB 24th aug and got a reply saying posted the 22nd, contacted them again and they said they would get them out to me ASAP (!), this was the 26th. Contacted again on the 29th asking when i could expect them and i was told again that they were posted the 22nd. Messaged again the 4th Sept, with no reply and have emailed again today to ask for a resolution to this. Not sure what the point is of taking orders that you have no intention of completing. Will be resolving this through PayPal this week. Looking at the reviews this is a bit of a hit and miss company, so you take your own chances!

Contact their local trading standards 03454 040506, even if you get your money back as the more complaint are logged the more that something can be done. I'm in the exact same boat as you and have just logged a complaint against them whilst waiting for my paypal refund. I've also added a review on here.

as you can all see that we had a sale of our leos in august this went viral. we have been trading for over 10 years we were not geared up for this response we had to change our delivery time from 7-14 days to 30 day as a result, as you can see on this review site we have let some people down and we are so sorry for this but as you can see there is a couple of customer on this review site that are going a little bit far with a vendetta like response which you can see for yourself ,I can honestly say that from august to sept we have delivered 100s of leos to 100s of customers how excepted that the sale went viral and have been so supportive of our company, and I wish that they would leave a review just to balance things out ,yes we are only a small company but we are a honest company and we have held up our hands when we got it wrong ie getting the leos out late. we had one review on our facebook page that her leo had finally arrived but the leo was so worth waiting for because it was beautiful which all our leos are this is one of the reasons why the sale went viral, but to the customer that couldn't wait and to the customer that we did let down were so so sorry .

hi you were told that the leos would take upto 30 day as they were out of stock you were offered a full refund but declined our offer so we got the order out as fast as we could

“Lack of communication, lack of items”

We ordered 2 leotards on 6th May. the items failed to arrive. The phone number we called was never answered, and the e mails also were ignored. The only time we got a response was via Facebook messaging. We were promised they would be sent out recorded delivery and with us by the end of the week. 2 weeks later...guess what. Still no leotards. I asked for a refund. They said the items were having to be made up especially (first time we'd heard that)and would be with us shortly. 16th July and still nothing...no communication. Will be resolving via Pay Pal

we posted out your leos recorded delivery sign for any personalized item is not covered under the distance selling laws unless its faulty which it was,nt personalised items can take not always up to 30 days this is clearly stated on our website

Ordered as a present and after 10 workings days I made inquiries. I was promised it would be here before the 14 working day deadline. It never arrived, the party passed and I was forced to go through PAYPAL for a refund. I gave them 1 star because the refund was prompt. Other than that do not buy from this company.

“AVOID - DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!”

Ordered from their website and allowed 3 weeks for delivery. Sent an email to ask when I should receive it. Emailed back and said they would send another one out as they didn't know what happened. Eventually received the leotard but it was the wrong one. Emailed to let them know and they said to send the wrong one back and they would pay the return postage and send the correct one. After over 3 weeks of waiting again I chased. I was again told I would receive it by the end of the week. Still nothing now. Opened a dispute with Paypal. They have just refunded the money, not sent the leotard and not refunded the return postage I paid for the incorrect leotard the sent. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

Contact their local trading standards to tell them about this company, I just have done so and the more of us who do so the sooner they can be stopped. Luckily I'm getting my £70 back through Paypal....doesn't compensate for a disappointed birthday girl though.

After threatening to take legal action I eventually had a cheque in the post for the remaining refund. I also had a very upset little girl. They shouldn't be allowed to run a business!! I reported them as well. Thank you for your comment. There are much better sites to order from if you would like me to recommend any and one lady is a lot cheaper and very professional

“Avoid,Avoid,Avoid!”

My 10 year old daughter ordered a leotard from this company out of her birthday money. I was advised that it would be delivered within 14 days. 14 days came and went-I allowed a few extra days before contacting them incase they had a backlog. I sent a perfectly pleasant email enquiring as to how much longer I should expect to be waiting to recieve my order. A few days passed with no response so I sent another email.....still no response! I went over the website with a fine toothed comb to find a telephone number or address but the only way to contact them is an email address! 4 emails later I get a notification on my PayPal account that I had recieved a refund....no explination and no direct contact from Star Leotards!! I now have a VERY upset and disappointed 10 year old. PLEASE AVOID STAR LEOTARDS AT ALL COSTS!!!

This 'company' is totally unprofessional and you only have to read their responses to disgruntled customers to realise that! The funniest bit of their comment above is that "we will refund you every time you try to order"! LOL!! Why would she ever want to order from you again?!
I have been emailed by Review Centre today to tell me that Star Leotards have complained about a review I wrote in January about their appalling service. Clearly they should put more effort into running a professional business rather than trying to get legitimate criticism removed from review websites! I will be going back to Review Centre to prove that all my comments were factually correct, and get my review reinstated.

My thoughts exactly!!
I posted my review in April and they only replied yesterday so I had a read through all the others and most of them had been replied to on the same day so obviously they have only just found out how many unhappy customers have posted on here.
Recently Star Leotards facebook page keeps popping up in my news feed as well-advertising brilliant prices & fab customer service!!HA!!! I posted a comment warning of the shocking service I got and was promptly blocked & reported to facebook for abuse!
Lesson learnt-if it looks too good to be true(and I have to say the leotards look gorgeous and are very reasonably priced)it probably is!!!

Oh yes indeed. Their fb page was suspended (by them) last week and funnily enough when it resurfaced all the negative comments (some of which directed them to review sites) had gone (the posts still say x comments but when you click they've all vanished) - funny that! Whilst I've been waiting for my order they've posted numerous times about special offers and new products, they should fulfil the orders they had already first. It took 7 days for them to even acknowledge my order - half their supposed lead time. I too had been ignored for a while until this weekend. They say they're going to see what's happened with Royal Mail but strangely say they have no proof of posting that they can show me. If they're not bad then they are the most disorganised firm I've ever dealt with.

“Avoid at all costs”

After successfully using this company last year to make a fairly large order for a competition I felt comfortable placing another order. After Initally checking that our chosen design was still available at the end of February I spent half of March checking sizes and collecting the money from parents to make the order in time for a completion this weekend (18/19th April) - after confirming a lead time of two weeks i placed the order and paid via PayPal around the 25th March. Now, two days before the competition we have no leotards and absolutely no replies from Mark at a Star Leotards as to what the order status is. The ironic thing is when I was emailing before the invoice was paid the responses were nice and fast but since then I get no response whatsoever. I have pleaded for a response this week, even if it's just to say they won't be here in time, but to no avail. I am extremely disappointed to say the least. I can appreciate sometimes things are out of a companies control but common courtesy and manners costs nothing. (10 x girls gymnastic leotards)10

This is simply not true. The email I received from you after I had posted this review actually said "did you really believe I would send you the leotards after the review you left". You then said you would process a refund and then actually sent the order well over a week after the event they were required for. Bad service and bad manners do not make a nice combination. I was more than reasonable and begged you to answer my emails in the run up to the competition but to no avail. The day after I posted this review you offered the send me the tracking order the next day and then when asked for it you sent me the email I mentioned at the beginning of this reply. I am happy to accept that you probably have the orders made abroad and that for one reason or another they are sometimes delayed or even lost in transit. My main problem was the lack of response and then the rude responses. But to compound it with these lies is ridiculous. If we had missed a delivery we could have collected it from the depot or delivery office the same day or the next day and it would not have had an impact. My opinion of you has gone down further. Sadly, this could have been completely avoided by a sincere apology.

There is no vendetta against your company - I wish you continued success. I'm glad that you have finally accepted some responsibility. I would add though that you sale was long after my expected delivery date and had no impact. I was justified in my initial review as it did put us in a sticky situation. Those entering teams into competitions will know the importance of matching leotards and I won't apologise for a review that expressed the frustration felt. I would have put it down to experience but your nasty email and then your subsequent replies on here have forced me to comment again and defend the original review.i will accept the apology and accept your assertion that you generally fulfill orders in a timely manner. I hope this can be the end of it now.

“Don't order if you want the item in a hurry!! Poor Service”

I ordered a Leotard for my daughter on 1st March. No correspondence confirming receipt of order and they did not respond to an email I sent asking if they had received it ok! Website states "Please allow 14 days for delivery", after 14 days I emailed them asking where my order was, again no response to my email. I received my item on Day 18 which is also the date that I opened a dispute with Paypal! Very poor service, would not use again.

“Unprofessional and don't deliver - go elsewhere!”

I ordered a leotard for my daughter on 20th December 2014, which she needs for gymnastics competitions. Luckily I paid via Paypal.  I received no acknowledgement of my order whatsoever from the company, nor any communication from them as to expected delivery date etc.  I gave them the benefit of the doubt over the Christmas period (although the website states that delivery takes approximately 7 days!)  I note that the website has now been changed to say that delivery may take up to 30 days, but at time of ordering it said 7 days).

With no sign of the order and still no communication, I emailed the address on my Paypal transaction on 16th January.  I received a wholly unprofessional and amateurish response - no company name, not properly written or punctuated and not even signed with the name of the person writing.  It was apologising and saying that “we have been closed over the xmas period”!!  This was on 16th January!  The email said I would receive the item within 7 days.  No name or contact number to follow this up with.  I note that the website now includes a mobile phone number, but it did not at the time I ordered.  I also find it dubious that any legitimate company only supplies a mobile number, not a landline number).

When the order still hadn’t come on the 8th day after that, I emailed again on 24th January to say how unhappy I was, and requesting an immediate update.  The company (I presume a one man band, not really a company), didn’t even have the good grace to email me back with a response, but did at least send a Paypal refund - when I saw a message from Paypal, I realised this is what had happened but no contact from Star Leotards, no apology, nothing.

I would never have used this shoddy service only that my daughter had seen a leotard she particularly liked and one of her friends had previously used them - however I later discovered that the order took over a month to arrive in that case too. There are several other companies supplying leotards on the internet, so avoid this one like the plague and shop with one which actually treats customers with courtesy and professional service.  What a waste of time, as I still needed to order a leotard from a proper company. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!

I ordered some items from them on the 18th Dec 2015, was told delivery of up to 30 days. I understand Christmas and New Year closure but have tried on several occasions ringing the contact number but just get answer machine, so left a voicemail with my contact number but received no reply. I have also emailed with a message about the goods and left my number, no reply, I have private messaged on Facebook. They have been read but no reply. I have also left comments on Facebook but they have been removed and yet again no reply. Can anyone please advise?

This company is an absolute joke. I suspect it's actually just total incompetence. It's a one-man band, run by someone who has zero customer service skills and has the arrogance to contact Review Centre to try to get bad reviews removed. He did this with my review and I was able to supply all the evidence to back it up, including ignorant emails he had sent me, in order to get my review reinstated. The only thing I can suggest is that you contact whoever you paid through (Paypal/credit card or whatever) and tell them the company have fraudulently taken your money without supplying the goods. Then you should also contact their local Trading Standards office and ask them to look at this website to see the number of disgruntled customers. This person should not be allowed to trade and needs to be shut down. Good luck with getting your money back, I know what it's like.
