Pretty clear process. I received about half a dozen bids over 48 hours (Skoda Octavia SE Estate 1.4 litre); accepted the second lowest. Don't think any significantly cheaper deals would have been available unless I was prepared to sacrifice 1st Registered Keeper status, which I was not. So it probably saved me some time at the very least.
I was a little nervous about buying something this size on-line, not meeting the actual dealer in person etc; but it all worked out fine in the end. The only odd thing was the dealer failing to take my deposit at the outset, which made we wonder if the car had actually been ordered! It had.
