Chasing a refund for 2 years - £488.33 out of pocket

NO REFUND DESPITE CHASING FOR 2 YEARS

Original purchase in May 2023 In December 2023 for a Fuji lens, costing £488.33. There was a mistake made, in that this amount was paid twice. In a phone call, director of UK Camera Store Ltd, assured me that he would look into a refund and that he would respond. The amount has never been refunded to date (May 2025, 2 years on). He has never responded to any of my emails. The product is excellent, but it has cost my own company £966.66 for a single lens. ABSOLUTELY consider when buying accessories or camera gear, whether the cheapest price (which is what it was at the time) is being sold by a well managed and genuine trader, which I am sorry to report has not been my experience with UK Camera Store. AVOID!

After Service A Black Hole

I bought £500+ of camera from This store on July 6th 2017 with a promised £50 cash back.

When I came to use the camera it exhibited a major fault and needed to be returned for replacement. I was asked to send it back and the store would cover the cost of postage. In this case it came to £11.00.

The store did return a new camera which has met expectations.

However, despite sending copies of the postal receipts and repeated requests for how to claim the £50 CashBack my emails have been constantly ignored.

I find this most unsatisfactory and shall be referring my dissatisfaction to my credit card company.

Good Price And Service

I chose UK Camera Store because it is based in the UK and had a good price for the camera I was looking at (Lumix FZ2000) with the manufacturer's £100 CashBack offer. The order was processed promptly and arrived the next day. The person I dealt with phoned me to apologise that the stock had not arrived but then rang back at the end of the day to say it had - so I got it the next day ! The cashback was itemised on the invoice so there should be no problem claiming it from Panasonic - although you have to wait 35 days to claim from Panasonic (Panasonic's Rules !). I will certainly buy here again.

Non Existent Communications

I orders a product from this company over a week ago and have not received it. emails are ignored.

Now contacting Credit Card company to see if I can get my money back and blacklist this company for failing to do its job.

Poor communication, the product hasn't arrived after weeks of promises. Would not recommend to buy from this webpage as info is not accurate

I Give One Tiny Minus For A Website, Where Inform

I give one tiny minus for a website, where information about stock availability is not updated in real time. I preferred to contact seller and verify this. I advice other customers to do so. Ordered one day morning delivered in the following day as agreed and described on a website. Perfect anyway!

X-t10 Came Immaculate. Good Delivery Is Good. Happy Me.

recommended shop: bought Fujifilm x-t10 .

Customer service was easy.

Delivery was fast.

First order was decline due to manufacturer problem(out of stock) but the money was returned on the spot.

The product detail is accurate and updated.

The shop guy is a nice guy. He does his job professionally.

Price Ok But Not Service

Just received my camera and case that was a fairly competitive deal on their part. However, at nearly £7 for postage, I expected a better response when I stayed in all day, as requested in an email, and I discovered it was not down for delivery until 3 days later. I informed the company that I was less-than-happy at wasting that day but they didn't have the courtesy to even reply. I won't use them again as a result of that failure.

Really Good Friendly Service

I purchased a Fuji hs50 exr camera and 1year and 10months into my 2year warranty it developed a black spot when I zoomed in. I contacted the store and they responded very quickly and were very friendly.I returned the camera and they sent it to Fuji for repair. Excellent service.
