I have used Jack the Hat on a number of occasions and have always been very pleased with everything about the company, both in terms of product and service.
So it was rather disappointing when I took delivery of my two - supposedly new - Kood ND8 filters.
They had both very obviously been opened and had finger marks all over the glass.
I cleaned them up and they appear to be fully capable of doing the job they are supposed to, so I'm not looking at replacements or refunds.
But the fact that they have either been returned by another customer or have been opened and demonstrated and then passed off to me as brand new is a little disturbing.
It's not that I am looking for a discount or anything, but I appreciate honesty above all and I feel that I have been treated a little shoddily on this occasion.

We are very sorry you feel this way. Unfortunately all Kood filters can suffer from this. It is something to do with the way they are packaged in the factory. All of them arrive like this. If you contact Kood directly they will be able to confirm this.

Thank you for your response. If that is the case then it throws Kood's quality control into question, doesn't it?

The security seals were in place but not intact, which suggests that the items had been opened after first sealing.

But anyway. I just though you should know about this (although it appears you already do)

I've always otherwise been pleased with my dealings with Jack-the-Hat and I don't see why I shouldn't deal with you again.

Hi, thanks for being so understanding. I have spoken to Kood this morning. The reason for this problem is that staff at Kood UK have to open every single filter to put in the cardboard insert. Apparently the Chinese factory cannot do this for some bizarre reason.
