I have shopped retail Goodwill stores and online for years. They are now charging insane shipping and handling costs on shopgoodwill.com and have raised the prices in the retail stores to match the local walmarts.

Today was the last straw. I purchased a vera bradley purse on shopgoodwill.com that was described as excellent. Always the cautious one, I emailed and inquired as to the exact condition. I was assured it was "like new". It arrived today....with mildew all over it, smelling terrible, stains and worn handles.

I am closing my account. What they are doing should be illegal. Lie about the condition and then refuse returns. Shameful for an organization that claims to be all about helping people.

I live in Puerto Rico and the shipping for one pound item was 70.00 plus $4.00 for handling. If we want to buy from goodwill is because we don't have the money to buy expensive, how in the world I am going to pay $74 for an item that only cost me $6.00. What kind of charity is this? Why not to send the items through the post office, please someone look into this rip off!!!
