“What a Scope”

★★★★☆

written by no1sniper on 10/06/2012

Got this scope 5 years ago, as a professional pest controller it has proven to be an essential asset to my ability to eradicate rats in farmyards or around buildings thus earning me money and the trust of farmers who dislike using poisons for rats on their farmyard. Once set up and zeroed I have never had to re-adjust the reticule. It maintains its zero even when removed from the rifle and then replaced again at another date, allowing me to swop to a normal daytime scope then back to the Falcon when needed with one quick zero checkshot. Range is to about 20M only because of the low magnification and the low intensity infra red however this is fine in a farmyard situation. Shooting rabbits was difficult unless they were closer than 20M, so purchased an additional IR illuminator, now the Falcon can pick up rabbits eyes at over 30M.
Batteries last a real long time, i mean months, just make sure you remove them every time you stow away the scope as the on/off switch is easily knocked on, thus draining the battery. My only negative comment is the weight, using the Falcon on my Logun S16, an already heavy gun, adds another third onto the weight and my arms always ache after a nights ratting, but hell no pain no gain, €€€€€€€€€€€€ if you know what i mean. Would I sell it, no, I will be keeping the Falcon NCS-03 until either me or the Falcon dies.
