Worst decision we've ever made..

For anyone considering buying a property from Bellway, I would urge before you do please knock on the doors of existing residents. I'm sure Bellway have some nice developments, but the one at the QE2 Hospital in Welwyn Garden City is the worst (and I quote from their own workmen) anyone has ever seen.

Throughout the whole sales process we encountered numerous problems, but that was nothing compared to what we were faced with when we moved in. We were made to complete 2 days before their financial year end, and even after me inspecting the property 3 days before completion and noting it wasn't finished nothing was done before we moved in.

We completed with a half finished home with a missing splash back behind the hob, upstand behind the sink, an unsealed shower, cracked tiles in the bathroom, a balcony that the NHBC hadn't signed off due to health & safety... The list goes on.

Now 7 months in, we have black mould surrounding the outside wall skirting boards due to an air leak. If I could post the video I would, but we have enough of a draft coming into our kitchen via the skirting board that it blows a piece of paper across the floor. We encounter creepy crawlies & water entering our apartment on a daily basis & its not on. It also means our apartment is always freezing & we wake up in the middle of the night shivering.

Bellway have labelled me the 'drama queen', 'princess' & whatever else they have chosen to call me (in writing might I add) but its unacceptable to allow people to move in to a home that can make them ill.

We have had an awful 2018 because of Bellway & will continue to do so over the Christmas period & 2019 until this is sorted.
