Very Busy

Because of a recent TV program We chose to stop at Tebay Services on 8th August. Queues everywhere and not many staff about. Bought a kiddy meal at £5.50 and found 2x tiny sandwiches, a pack of 3 small tomatoes, 2 of which were soft/ had mould on them. Other chosen items were O.K. but not £5.50s worth. Got the tomatoes box replaced but now 1 more soft again so still not fit to eat. Prices generally high. Petrol £2.00/litre. child came away still hungry and us hugely disappointed.

Worst Services experience in many years.

Congratulations!

Well done and richly deserved Tebay! Number 1 services! A worthy winner.

The most beautiful services ever visited!

Super location, facilities, staff, locally ethically sourced products, cleanliness.

And all without compromising the glorious wildlife and Nature that we - as custodians of our precious natural resources - need to preserve.

Visited whenever en route to the Lake District. So lovely that We purposely arrange to visit, spend untrusted time and buy their produce.

A real gem!

Well done and thank you.

Over-priced Food, Terrible Quality

I was shocked and annoyed at the shameless rip-off prices and the abysmal quality of the food and drink at these so called Services. I have both lived in, and travelled around the rest of Europe and nowhere else have I found such dreadful food quality coupled with such blatant overpricing.

I know most motorway services charge exorbitant prices (and it always amazes me that people actually pay) but I do think that £4.50 for an egg mayonnaise roll and over £2 for a cup, and I mean cup not mug, of tasteless coffee is going just too far.

For any traveller using motorway services I suggest you don't even consider purchasing food and drink. Take your own sandwiches and a flask of hot drink with you. Using my example if I had a group of 4 people it would have cost around £30 for a roll and drink each. Frankly its not even funny and I really think its time the travelling public spoke out about the poor quality of what is on offer and the ridiculous shameless over pricing that so called services offer.

Tebay Services, Between J38 And J39, M6 Is The Bes

Tebay Services, between J38 and J39, M6 is the best service station by far. I have stayed overnight in my motorhome many times and am always happy with the experience. Good food, great farm shop and butchers, freindly staff, good dog walks.

Whenever Returning From The Lake District,

Whenever returning from the lake District, Tebay Services seems to be a natural stopping point for me.

OK, I have to be honest when I say this place is not perfect (see the "Bad Points"), but the shop is at least well stocked. They also sell really nice farm produce here - it took a friend nearly 20 minutes to look around the shop.

To be fair, this is a service station I'll be visiting quite a bit when I'm heading north.
