The overall web site is well constructed, but my main problem is a lack of detail. Some cars show no mileage, which is one of the most important considerations when purchasing a second hand car. My other concern is there needs to be more detail relating to the number of previous owners. The above observations really show that the two most important considerations when purchasing a second hand vehicle are not always shown.

Following my further enquiry regarding a Mercedes, I was immediately called by an advisor, she was very helpful and provided me with all the information I wanted. Provisional Value of my car : I was promised that she will call me back within a very reasonable time and she kept her promise. She definitely knew about the cars and the information I wanted. I hope to return my call tomorrow and keep my promise. Rest, I only hope that I get an opportunity to deal with RAC and find a car of my choice. CD

I have recently purchased a new vehicle, through RAC's first class used car service, having drawn up a short list, through their good offices and made my final selection. The facility is very user friendly and, as such, very helpful indeed. The car valuation service is a prime example and an excellent way of obtaining reliable information, which certainly assisted me in my negotiations with the dealer. Without this vital information, I believe that I would not have got as good a deal. Thank you very much RAC and I am looking forward to using your service again in the future and recommending it my family members and friends.

RAC's Cars for Sale allowed me to easily find the variant that I wanted from the permutations of different Mondeos, i.e mileage/year/price range, engine size, petrol/diesel, manual/auto, 4dr/5dr/estate, colour, trim - Edge, Graphite, Zetec, Titanium...and also where to view either locally or nationally.

On reading the adverts on the RAC CARS web site I contacted Evans Halshaw as it says £99 MAY be added to the price. I was told that £99 is added to ALL sales saying it is an administrative fee. Please why cannot they be honest like a lot of others and publish the CORRECT PRICE, not say may be £99 more when in fact it includes it. I was considering going up to Hull to view two or three cars but this has put me off dealing with Evans Halshaw due to dishonesty, believing that if they can do this what other things do they add on. Went to look at a land rover discovery through Sports and Prestige Centre Slough. Nasty experience. Car found to have no recorded mileage after I left a deposit. Garage refused to repay my deposit. AVOID AT ALL COSTS> NASTY ON THE TELEPHONE>

I found the IDEAL used Jaguar on RAC Cars - exactly the car I wanted, and under my maximum budget threshold too. As a female, buying a car can be tricky. You cover a lot of ground and give first class information of each car. When on a limited budget you provide all the relivent information that is required in order to purchace a car. In this day and age the average person can no longer do a lot of work on the moden cars unless you have the computers to diagnose the engine and electrical systems. At least useing the RAC the buyer has relitive pease of mind it is a great way to find what you want. The only point that I would make is that it would be good to have a reliability chart ie: on brake down,main faults or other points of reliability.

The website is fine if one could only access it! I have tried several times to reset my password and despite typing in the letters and number given it shows error and reset I have given up trying.

It is of interest to an amateur like me. I browse the net and enjoy finding items like this. It keeps my interest; so it must be a positive
