The 800 Sport Has A Very Nice Engine For Sporty Ri
The 800 sport has a very nice engine for sporty riding. it is also fairly economical and very reliable. The problem is with the riding position. It is almost unbearably uncomfortable putting a lot of strain on the wrists neck and back. Such a position is fine for the race track but is hopeless for everyday road riding. You are bent over so far it is hard to see where you a going and the short drop bars give little leverage at low speeds, making the steering very heavy.
All this could have been addressed by Ducati if they had made the bars adjustable. Bent over in a racer crouch when on the track, and more upright and wide for road use.
A real pity because the brakes are excellent as is the rest of the machine.
