I've used BVR Automotive for 2-3 years now to do all technical and specialist servicing and repairs on my Octavia 1.9tdi and I am completely happy with all aspects of the service. I have NEVER said this about anyone else before. Dave is a clever lad who, along with Lee who is also a big asset to BVR, works hard and smart in a tidy and methodical way, and I believe is totally trustworthy - a rare thing in the car servicing sector. He is an extremely knowledgeable VAG group technician but is also a great communicator who understands his customers individually, doesn't patronise you, and is full of common sense when it comes to recommending what really needs doing and how best to do it and with which parts to give best value for money. He will do everything you ask for, having first confirmed why it needs doing, will identify anything else that may need attention but will always discuss with you whether it is urgent, what the implications of not doing it immediately are and agree a plan that suits you. His prices are very competitive and I have always been totally satisfied with the vehicle after he has had it. After the terrifying nightmare of main dealers who replace anything and everything they can possibly convince you could need doing, and at mega prices, it's like a breath of fresh air to get your car done by BVR. I almost look forward to the next service as I know I'm not being ripped off with things that don't really need doing or won't work as they should afterwards; my car performs beautifully afterwards and I feel I have given it the treatment it requires and deserves without bankrupting myself to do this. You won't find better in the N Staffs/S Cheshire area.

I have used BVR Automotive for a couple of years and have not been able to fault there service or prices until recently.

I had a billing issue and after contacting Dave (BVR) he looked into the problem and admitted there had been a misprice along the way.

He apologised for the error and agreed a suitable discount on my next job which he has now done with his usual expertise.

We are all human and make mistakes but this incident shows good customer service.

provided an excellent service before and after the work took place. very professional and very reasonable on price. would definately recommend to anyone who does'nt want to pay main dealer prices. they look after your car like its their own. i will be using them for any future works required on my audi.

i'm always very wary of motor mechanics and garage services, having fallen victim many times to poor workmanship costing £100's in needless or poor repairs. This time I decided to look around and try to find a mobile VW Independant Specialist who would come to me, and so I could actually witness my car being worked whilst parked on my own driveway, and see exactly what was being replaced.

At the time I needed a turbo repairing, and searching an owners forum I came across mention of a company based in Staffordshire called BVR Automotive, I was impressed by their website, and upon contacting them, I received a prompt reply from BVR Automotive

The advice that came back from the first email was very helpful and knowledgeable, but written in a way that even I could understand. The quotes that he gave were very competitive and reasonable and a fraction of the price of the VW Dealer, but they assured me that they only used genuine replacement parts, exactly the same parts as the VW dealership would use, and was also able to read any error codes and make the same diagnosis as a vw dealer would do.

I was even more impressed with the fact that BVR, were even willing to come out to do the initial diagnosis at my address on Easter Sunday - thats a bank holiday when most garages are shut and their mechanics are at home eating their bacon and (easter) eggs!

True to their word, they arrived at 11AM on the Easter Sunday morning. I was very impressed from the start, especially with the way that they treated the vehicle and went about the diagnosis, first connecting a laptop to the engine to read the error codes, and then checking over the engine and electronics very thoroughly, also took the time to explain to me, how the system worked and exactly what was being checked at each stage.

At the end they confirmed that the diagnoses indicated that the turbo was at fault, and that it could be removed and refitted for the agreed price as per detailed on the email. They also gave me the option to either buy a new turbo or have the existing one reconditioned, but at no time was I under any pressure to have a replacement supplied by BVR, but the option was there and I could of course supply the part myself and just pay them for the removal and refit.

I opted to take the turbo to a company myself in order to have it refurbished, purely because they could do it after the bank holiday and it was easy to drop off and collect myself to save time.

Unfortunately the turbo repair company that I used screwed up and sent back the wrong turbo, however BVR was very patient and understanding and even spoke to the turbo supply company on my behalf in order to help sort out the mess.

Once again, BVR Automotive met their promises, and by mid morning the following day the turbo was back on the vehicle and it was running as good as new.

Its actually refreshing to find a company who are not only mobile and so can work on your vehicle at home or your place of work, but one who is entirely honest, turns up when they say they will and take great care with the vehicle and also take the trouble to explain to you what they are doing and what work needs to be done.

I was also issued a professionally printed and itemised receipt at the end of work and I could pay by either cash or credit card.

I cannot thank them enough for the work that they did, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anybody with a VW, Skoda, Audi or Seat car who wants the best in workmanship and servicing at far less than 'dealer' rates
