Sham
These cars are a complete joke, I had one and within 6 months it had practically rusted away to nothing. The engines are also VERY soft and break down constantly. The fact is I'd rather have a reliant robin than one of these hunks of junk.

Rs Turbo
I had my series 2 rs turbo back in 1995, I paid £4200 it was only 5 years old at the time and was the last of the series two's with the facelift front bumper and rear spoiler (with the holes in), it was mercury grey, 42000 miles, i bought it off an american guy who worked for nasa and was a captain in the US airforce in guildford of all places..... driving it home was so exciting, i was only 21 and it felt like a "propper" sports car..... believe it or not to this day its my favorite car of all time. ive since owned 3 porsches and a 348 ferrari, if i could drive any old car again it would be the rs turbo, because in 1995 it was THE car to have at that age i have my best memories of being young and me and my mates piling in it and cruising about..... wicked car.... it was H307 XGN if anyone has it, ill buy it back!

I Own A Sensibly Modified S2 (187hp) And Although
I own a sensibly modified S2 (187hp) and although NOT a cossie/scooby/evo eater it looks far sweeter than ANY euro box money can buy and .Its easy to drive easy to maintain, cheap to maintain when you know where to get the bits from with a whole world of tuners prepared and skilled enough to help.It is without doubt the turbo of choice for ppl in the know on a budget for fun per £ £ £ it cant be beaten.Handles mint (its not a 4x4) looks awesome in a world af faceless nameless cars.......bury me in mine :)

Ive Owned My Rs S2 For 14 Years Now, Spend Around
Ive owned my RS S2 for 14 years now, spend around 14k on it, but overall its a real stunner, jet black and absoulutely mint. Only comes out twice a year. Real head turner.
Just remember, if you upgrade and improve hp you must fit suitable breaks and pads to stop it.

The Cars Are Really Great In Almost Every Sense, I
The cars are really great in almost every sense, its more of an addiction to drive than your usual run of the mill shed. Looked after and worked on to get and keep in top condition you will probably make any money back you spent if you sell it on. When buying make sure its not a rust bucket or has major welding done (check under the mats, battery tray, in the boot, have a prod underneath). In fact just take someone who knows thar stuff with you and get it hpi checked. Most of all though, if you go for one, enjoy it!

The Rs Turbo Is A Fantastic Car In Pretty Much Eve
The rs turbo is a fantastic car in pretty much every way I own a series 1 and I love it they are just great I've had 18 cars in last 6 years and this is the only one I've liked and kept for 2 years but its not all fun they do have there problems so you need a good general knowledge of cars to own one or you are gonna have some very expensive garage bills. My advice is if your thinking of buying one go for it but just take your time when looking as there are some dogs out there as well as nice ones spend as much as you can afford and the series 1 is definitely the one to go for if you have the cash bearing in mind you are looking at at least £4000 for a half decent one with a couple of owners and a good history, mine never fails to put a smile on my face on the rare occasion that I take it out in this weather. Basically the rs is the one to go for forget everything else I mean come on its a turbo that can actually be reliable and used daily in like the head gasket eating Renault 5 turbos.
