Good All Round
I am a rep and use the Astra doe business, I do about 45,000 miles per year, I bought the car with 63,000 on the clock for 1800 pounds. I have had a new timing belt, water pump and plugs fitted at 80,000 and thats it cost 150 ponds to have it done with a local mechanic. MPG is incredible for a petrol engine around 10 pence a mile aound town and long journeys I can get over 450 out of a tank full. Handling is good for its class I have the bigger wheels on mine ,tyres do about 20,000 on the front with the cheaper brands. I have Astras on and off since they were first introduced as a re brand of the Opel Cadet, they have always been a good value family and business car

The Vauxhall Astra, A Really Good Family Car, Good
The Vauxhall Astra, a really good family car, good access, nice seats easy to find driving position. Visiblity all round good if you use the mirrors, quiet at motorway speed, alittle harsh in sport mode but quite lively. Around town lovely torquey engine makes for relaxed traveling. On the road 46 mpg is attainable, around town expect 34/36 mpg. Buy with confidence, and enjoy

The Vauxhall Astra Is A Good Overall Car - Comfort
The Vauxhall Astra is a good overall car - comfortable and stylish upholstery, with all the extras including air con, radio functions on steering wheel, lcd display for temp. Good on pickup with a lot of poke.
