I Bought This Car From Local Garage, The Car Was A
I bought this car from local garage, the car was a mobility car and had 29123miles on the clock it now has 135798 miles and in that time it has only had tyres and its service every year, nothing has been done to the car not even brake pads, this car starts first time every time with the temptures being down as low as -14 in December. I find that this car is the most reliable car I have ever had and I would go out and buy the same car tomorrow if I had to. I must say that the two local peugeot dealerships to me are a waste of time as I had the 206 LX before this.

Having Bought This Vehicle As Transport To Work I
Having bought this vehicle as transport to work i have spent more of my time staring at an abs/esp warning light.Vehicle was purchased from a reputable ? local car dealership who have recently had the vehicle for 2 weeks fixing a faulty central locking mechanism and a fourth attempt at fixing abs.Drove 10 miles and warning lights came on four times. Dealer claims because no fault found on fault reader can,t be fixed. Take a tip don.t buy Peugoet 307

I ' Ve Only Had The Car 1 Year And My Flywheel Wen
I ' ve only had the car 1 year and my flywheel went twice (grinding noise in first gear) at a cost of £1000 each time! Electric fault lights keep coming up, "Diesel Additive minimum level" light shows even though it has been topped up and refilled, and engineers can ' t get the light off! "Unblock diesel filter" shows every now and again. Sometimes the drivers door wont open so have to keep manually locking and unlocking until it works.
Worst car I have ever owned, had a 306 prior to getting a 307 and had no problems whatsoever, knew my faith in Peugeot was too good to be true! I am now part-exing it to get Vauxhall Astra - good riddance!

I Write This Having Just Returned From A Long Nigh
I write this having just returned from a long night trying to have my failed 307 towed. On this ocassion the electronic 'features' of the car decided to all fail at the same time. Yes, that means they all work but not together. So it wont start, select neutral (therefore cannot be towed!) I can't open the rear door (it is an electronic switch) the wipers wont stop wiping, the doors will not lock. It is basically a boat anchor sitting in a public car park. Here Iam hoping I return tomorrow to find it gone so I can claim the insurance and go back to a Japanese car! Good riddance to my first and last Peugeot, and yes the dealer is just as bad in Australia!
The beauty of this car is that if you pick one up with enough KM's on it, everything that could go wrong already likely has, and you'll have a good experience from there on in. This is my story. Pug 307 - one of the rare examples of a car that gets better (and more reliable) with age! Sure, I feel sorry for the original owner dishing out big $$$ and all those warranty headaches, but I love the car now!

Well This Peugeot 307 2.0 Hdi 90 Rapier Family Car
Well this Peugeot 307 2.0 HDi 90 Rapier family car has been doomed from day one, I will list all faults below, however I have now traded this pile of scrap in for a Getz.. I hope this is better!
Faults:
1) New rear window required
2) New rear axle required, together with 2 new tyres
3) N/S/R door handle replaced twice
4) Oil level indictor fault, 11 days for dealer to fix
5) N/S/R outer door trim replaced; kept falling off
6) Spare key replaced/reprogrammed
7) Gearbox wine on overun at low speeds; dealer refused to replace
8) Engine mountings replaced because of vibration through floor
9) Front brakes squeel
10) Dealer resprayed both rear door slams because Peugeot forgot to apply any paint at the factory (delear had to pay for this apparantly!)
11) O/S Sill rubber seal replaced
12) All doors fitted with modified parts because of constant rattles
13)Drivers door handle fell off, dealer sprayed the replacement the wrong colour, and failed to fit the inner trim back properly!!!. Took to another dealer to sort out
14) Both rear lower arm bushes de-laminated, dealer replaced
15) Air pip e to air flow meter leaking, dealer refused to fix, had to fix myself
16) N/S Anti roll droplink worn, dealer replaced
17) numerous COM2000 problems......
Well all these faults must have cost Peugeot in excess of £5,000 to sort out
DONT BUY A 307, THE DEALERS ARE EVEN WORSE...

I Made The Change From A Peugeot 306 1.6 A Year An
I made the change from a peugeot 306 1.6 a year and a half ago and have regretted it ever since!!! This Peugeot 307 2.0 HDi 90 Rapier s would be my 5th peugeot and my LAST!!
Faults include:
*Indicator stalk problems, replaced.
*Loud rattling from the front of the car, anti roll bar replaced and was told they all do that.
*I am on my second CD player now, just trying to find a time to have this one replaced also. NO LOAN player for up to a month!! CD's get very very hot! then if you swap to the radio for a second you will never be able to listen to a CD again, on that journey. Took the car in they had it for a day and it was fine in their eyes. Picked the car up got round the corner and it stopped working. Now it has got so bad it just rejects the disks all the time.
*Temperature guage for outside jumps around from ice alert -3 to +12, at different times. The display for the radio/time is illegible in the heat of summer. This was blamed and replaced, still the temperature fluctuates!
*Gearbox problems, yes they are clunky!! Didn't expect to get STUCK in fifth whilst trying to change to fourth coming off the motorway!! Had to wiggle the gear stick, thought I was going to go into to reverse for a second, and put it back into five then try again. This was all whilst breaking very hard to slow the car down as I was unable to use the gearbox. Road tested another 307 Hdi off the fourcourt of the garage, also has the same problem!! Peugeot have witnessed this problem and were surprised it did it, but say NOTHING they can do!!! We don't have a fix for it and no-one else has had this problem. So now left with a rather large lump of metal on four wheels that is quite scary to drive!!
All in all not impressed with the dealer assistance with the more serious issues, just get palmed off to peugeot who say nothing we can do. The car is spacious inside but build quality is just a bit poor when you look at the like priced cars of this range like the Golf.
Looking forward to being able to get a sensible make of car SOON and leave peugeot FAR behind!
I drive a Peugeot 307 2.0 HDi 90 sw (march 2005). In the first few months from new, CD player works now and again, discs get stuck and when you do get them out they are very hot.
Next the stalk on the steering wheel went faulty, front suspension needed changing, then I had problems with brakes and clutch.
Then today the gearbox keeps sticking in third gear, and the car is not even two years old.

Bought The Peugeot 307 2.0 Hdi 90 Rapier As A Car
Bought the Peugeot 307 2.0 HDi 90 Rapier as a car for my wife with the plan to keep the miles down and keep it for 6 years, we find ourselves awaiting delivery of an X-Trail. The problems we have had led us to get shot before anything else went wrong. The good points are the handling, engine and MPG, this was the 6th Peugeot we've had between us and will most likely be the last one despite the looks of the 407.
