BMW 3 Series 330d SE Saloon

The BMW 3 Series 330d SE Saloon is ace on diesel 150bhp. Get the top spec with leather for comfort. Very nice to drive. Best car I have had. Over all a very good strong car i would recomend any one to get one or test drive go for the facelift after 2002 looks alot better. They're not cheap to buy second hand, wishbone bushes can go weak, and have the turbo checked after 60,000 as the oil seal in the turbo can go pushing all the oil out of the exhaust

Good car for what it is. Not focussed enough as a hardcore driver's car though. BMW would point you towards an old M3 if you wanted that though. Good car, much recommended. But have something more interesting for when you just want a hard thrash...

The BMW 330d is a magnificent vehicle - it's the first BMW I've driven and it eats up the motorway miles. The performance is such that you'll never be able to fully use legally in the UK, but it'll leave almost every other vehicle standing on the motorway. The fuel economy is fantastic for such a high performance car and it's hard to get less than about 45mpg even with hard motorway driving.

It's a real driver's car and once you sit in, it wraps itself round you like the cockpit of a Messerschmitt - the driving position is perfect and everything is where it should be. The satnav is very good and not at all intrusive as is the sound system. The bluetooth communication via the mobile is first class.

I bought it new in June, and got an excellent price with a full set of extras.

I would recommend this car very highly indeed.

Great car, sounds good, looks good, goes quick but does 50mpg on a run at a steady 75mph.

I have 200+ ps 6 speed manual model with factory lowered sports suspension, sat nav and sunroof.

I have had other BMW's with 6 cylinder petrol engines, this outranks them by a long way. Engine is quiet and refined for a diesel and pulls throughout all of the usable rev range. Will eat any fast petrol car up a hill (takes on XJRs up hill). Manual is easy to drive, due to diesel low end torque and gearbox which is is unbelievably smooth for a unit built to deal with the torque that comes from the 3.0 diesel.

Stereo is rubbish, actually speakers are rubbish, stereo is not too bad. It is what you would expect in a 1980s Fiesta, not a car this good. Am having to get the speakers upgraded by local car audio dealers.

Finally, pay the extra and get one, don't waste time on the 4 cylinder.

I absolutely love the BMW 3 Series 330d SE Saloon. It drives like a dream, and it accelerates faster than anything I have ever driven. When accelerating fast there is the most wonderful growl, which makes you feel so good. It feels really safe and solid, and I have had no problems whatsoever with it. The only slight negative comment I would leave, is that compared to some other cars, the steering is not as light as it could be. That being said, it is very positive, and the handling is superb.

I would recommend this car to anyone. I don't like the new 3 series which is replacing it though. I do not feel it is nearly as good looking a car, and I did not like the way it drove compared to my 2002 model.
