I changed my scooter 2 weeks before my policy was due for renewal. I took out a new policy for my new scooter with a different insurance company. When I contacted H & R to ask for my no claims certificate they said they would have to cancel my existing policy and charge me £40. I said I didn't want to cancel my policy - could they leave it to run ? (I had sold my old scooter so I wouldn't be claiming anything. They said no they had to cancel the policy. They charged me £10 in the end as a good will gesture. The actual policy for the year was £60.00 third party only. This also meant that I couldn't claim a years no claims as my policy had only run for 50 weeks. I thought the staff were very unreasonable and the person I spoke to was very condescending. I would never use them again.
I wish I had read the reviews on this company before I used them.
