My motorbike has been insured with Devitt for three consecutive years. Never needed to claim so happily paid on renewal until I changed address. £30 admin fee to change address in the same postcode area! When I told them that Direct Line charged £2.50 admin to change address on my car policy, they referred me to the contract. That, I said was for mid-term vehicle changes not address. I soon realised that I was talking to a brick wall. As circumstances would have it, it was still cheaper to insure with them until renewal so waited for amended online documents. Two emails and a call back and still without new documents. To top it all, they sent me an email link to write this review to be entered in a prize draw to win £500 Amazon vouchers. I don't think I'll win. I just wish I don't need to claim until after renewal (with a better organised company).

Thank you. What I don't understand is why you cannot respond here on the general issues. Why does Devitt charge £30 (33% of total insurance cost in my case) for address change when Direct Line charges £2.50. Why no responses to emails until I make a fuss on here. I'm afraid I'll be voting with my feet on renewal. Good riddance.
