Thought people may be interested in timings with Santander

After problems getting my mortgage application approved as Halifax made an error on my credit report, i resolved this by demanding the customer complaints manager spoke direct to experian to correct their mistake, this happened overnight, after I had been told it would take 5 days their side and up to 6 weeks for experian to update!! Just a warning to people there... Even with a perfect score you can still be declined.

My mortgage broker applied again with Santander once my credit report was updated, it did decline again as was still picking up my last credit report on the search, he put an extra previous address and it formed a new search which then was successful.

The application was submitted Friday, 15th April, the survey took place Wednesday, 20th April and I had a text message last thing today confirming my mortgage offer had been issued, that's Wednesday, 27th April. So from application to offer, it took a total of 9 working days which is what they had published on their website. Although I do know they works Saturday's too.

Thought people looking here may want to hear something a bit more positive and I must say, that's extremely quick for a lender to survey and offer. So, so far, I am delighted.
