Felt that they did very little for their money and I wouldn't recommend them, save your cash and do the research yourself, you end up doing most of the work anyway.

I was pleased with the initial work carried out in finding a relevant product. However, once we'd got the agreement in principal, the service deteriorated. It seemed to be dragged out, there was a lack of proactive work. We'd have a request to send one document at a time by registered post, they would then forward this on and wait for next instruction. I would expect them to check the documentation which they were relaying to us, but names were spelt incorrectly on the mortgage offer, we were charged twice for transfer fees and despite repeatedly asking them to arrange for the cashback cheque to be in one name. They incorrectly told us our solicitor should deal with it. I also got the impression they were more concerned with blaming others than getting to grips and sorting any issues out.

Given the cost, I'm not impressed. The mortgage adviser was impossible to reach on his supposedly direct line, my calls always went to answer machine even when returning his call a few minutes after he called me. When enquiring about both the purchase of a new property and re-mortgage of my current property on both occasions he initially only gave me information about one deal and I had to specifically ask about any other options-of which there were many and 2 were cheaper than the deal he initially informed me about.......also the 2 cheaper deals did not earn Which? A fee......so much for being independent and impartial! I think the adviser needs to remember that it's not his money which will be used to pay the mortgage But the customer's and the customer is therefore the one who should make the decision with all the facts and options presented to them and it's not his job to filter the results and provide the customer with information on just one deal. In contrast the Paraplanner was excellent. Always available on his direct line, quick to respond and kept me informed throughout the process. Not sure I would use Which? Again though, given the cost and that they did not demonstrate impartiality.

All started off great. After an initial phone call was booked in for a telephone appointment with a very helpful and professional mortgage adviser. He said he could help me. Went through a 30 minute telephone interview. He said everything was fine. He then sent me through my documents to check over and said he would call me the next day to discuss. 5 days and 2 unanswered emails to which? later and still no phone call. I assume they can't process my application. It would be nice if they actually bothered to reply to your emails or call you to tell you this though!

Although it is never nice to hear that a customer is unhappy with any aspect of our service, we do relish the opportunity to learn from these situations. So, although I’d rather you were not in the position of having to raise your concerns, I would be really grateful to hear more about your experience. You can contact me by email.
Kind regards,
