We went with Which due to their reputation but have been sorely disappointed. We had a Help to Buy mortgage but we noticed that there was no mention of this in the mortgage offer document. We bought this to Which's attention and asked if there are any additional forms for the help to buy side that needed filling as the Help To Buy site suggested there were. They advised us that all was in hand, no documents needed to be filled and our solicitors and Nationwide were aware that this was a Help to Buy mortgage so the mortgage offer was correct. This was not the case and we almost lost our house and became homeless because of their mistake. The mortgage was delayed by 4 months and we ended up having to escalate to MD level in order to gain any appropriate level of service. The stress and extra fees this caused are nothing in comparison to the fact that it triggered stress induced alopecia leading to hair loss and eventually having to purchase a wig. We are currently discussing compensation with the company but they continuously avoid addressing this very upsetting and important fact. They have shown no humility nor apologised for this disastrous consequences of their misconduct. Avoid Which mortgage advisors unless you would like to be misinformed, loose your hair and have to perform the role of a mortgage advisor yourself despite paying them for this service.

Very Helpful Mortgage Advisor and assistant backup , competitive broker fees , good advice . Have used before with no hiccups .Overall very pleased with service from Which and have recommended to several friends . Unfortunately did not go well this time but Which not at fault . Only thing I would advise mortgage applicants to do is compare your local conveyancer's fees and convenience compared to the one offered by Which . I have used both and the local one was much quicker and 40% cheaper than big national firm I was introduced to . Also a bonus to take ID and sign mortgage deed in a local office than deal with the hassle and delay of sending documents back and to in the post . Had a problem with the Freehold Title on a rental property I was remortgaging where I had purchased the freehold years earlier .Turned out it had not been recorded at the land registry . This mean't we had to go through the all mortgage application twice as mortgage lender wouldn't complete despite proof from solicitors that we had purchased freehold . Two lot's of fees and another 2 months to process ! So much for common sense lending from this particular lender as they insisted on a second valuation as a new app which was passed to another national surveying firm who then down valued the property . This made the LTV from 75% to 80% which added another 1.5 % to the rate costing over £3k more in interest charges . Moral of the story , before you apply to remortgage 1) check your title deeds on the land registry to make sure title ok , and if leasehold ensure your ground rent is up to date with valid receipts . 2) have concrete evidence what your property is worth as best you can from recent comparable sold prices as can affect the interest rate you will pay . 3) Consider using a good local recommended conveyancer . My mortgage took a long time to complete due to my purchase. I had to change oroperty details twice, therefore mortgage needed amending three times in all. I cannot thank the which Mortgage Advisors enough for their patience and dedication they showed. They acted promptly and kept me informed with changes throughout my process...all in all in took me 10 months to finally complete on my purchase and I cant Thank them enough for supporting me through this and guiding me effectively to speed things up. They were in touch with my solicitors also to make sure things were moving and to answer any queries and delays. All in all this was a great service, well worth the money. Thanks Which...

I found this a terrible experience and would not use them again I am first time buyer and there guidance was somewhat to be desired and there communication not as I expected , I would not recommend them to friends or family

Not having moved house for many years and requiring some specific advice we thought we would use the Which service. What we got was a service second to none. They found us a very competitive price and before we had made a decision they found a better one.I cannot recommend Which mortgage service highly enough.

I was messed around by another company and turned to Which? By the time I asked them to help I was in danger of losing my flat but they really pulled out the stops to get me a mortgage offer quickly and a far better one than I had been offered before. They are exceptional, I cannot praise them highly enough!

There service I recieved was excellent. The advisors had indepth knowledge and found the best product for me considering my circumstances. They kept in touch with me and informed me of all updates throughout the process. They were professional, helpful and supportive. I recommend them whole heartedly. I could not believe that this service is free.

We needed a re-mortgage that was not widely offered by mortgage lenders. My age ruled out most providers and as I was assisting my Son who had begun training, was not earning and needed to let out his home we were not attractive to many lenders. Which? found us a buy to let fixed rate mortgage which allowed my Son to hang on to his home. We were given information about what was available to us, advised what we needed so we had all the required paperwork ready and the mortgage went through smoothly. We knew before we applied for the mortgage that our application was almost certain to be accepted and we did not therefore risk our credit rating through declined mortgages. If your mortgage requirement is not straight forward I would strongly recommend seeking advice from Which? before you make a mortgage application.

The advisors were helpful and informative at every stage of our remortgage process. Their friendly, reassuring approach ensured that we achieved our objective within our time frame and with minimum hassle. I would recommend them to anyone without any reservation .

The fact I have to give them one star is over rating them. All experiences are different, but ours was a nightmare taking around 5 months to get sorted - we nearly lost the property. The intial introduction ran quite smooth, but after that when documents had to be filled in, it completely fell apart. We had to phone and email 'Which' 2-3 times a day to try and get things rolling again. Advisors would turn their phones onto answer-phone and we were completely helpless. Not sure how they use the 'Which' brand because their service this was totally unacceptable. I would never call these people again and I certainly wouldn't trust the "which' brand. Maybe it supposed to be spelt 'Witch' instead.

Recently I have consulted Which Mortgage Advisers. This was the second time I have used the service. on both occasions I found the advisers efficient, knowledgeable, friendly, and very supportive throughout the process of choosing a mortgage provider, applying for, and obtaining, the mortgage. I would happily recommend the service to a friend or relative. In fact I've already done so.

The advisor and his assistant were very helpful in offering me suitable choices for my particular needs and ensure that any problems were dealt with as soon as possible. I would recommend their service to family and friends - the only drawback was the price compared to some independent financial advisors who do not charge.

I think my review title puts the service I received in a nut shell so am not going to go on only to say I would highly reccommend this service to both friends and family.

Absolutely delighted with Which Mortgage Advice/brokers; Gave good advice and were generous with their time despite not charging a fee until application was submitted, which you can choose not to do. Well worth paying for the brokering though, as it took all the worry of sorting a mortgage off my shoulders. As a single income household freelancing in the arts I was concerned about my eligibility for a mortgage but I found everyone at Which to be attentive, friendly and reassuring at all times. The mortgage was awarded and the sale completed within eight weeks, and every effort was made by them to meet tight deadlines. They were an absolute pleasure to use and I felt that they really went the extra mile. Thank you!

Felt that they did very little for their money and I wouldn't recommend them, save your cash and do the research yourself, you end up doing most of the work anyway.
