I recently re-mortgaged my flat using Turnkey as I work full time and didn't have the time to visit lots of banks and building societies to compare deals. To start with I was very happy with the service I received and was happy with the mortgage found for me.

The problem came when everything went through and I completed. I had asked for all charges to be included in the mortgage as I do not have money available to pay costs. I needed £999 for solicitors and fees. When the paperwork arrived I only had £668 and was left to try and raise the extra funds. Nobody, solicitor, mortgage advisor or either bank could explain why this had happened.

I was blamed myself as I had not read the paperwork throughly and check the final figures. Surely this is what we pay the money for. To get rid of all the hassle of paperwork ourselves.

The next time I have to do this I will go directly to the banks and cut out the middle man!

After a number of failures trying to re-mortgage with additional borrowing, I approached TurnKey who successfully delivered exactly what I was seeking.

I had a difficult case as I required the additional borrowing for debt consolidation. They were sympathetic, listened carefully and understood my situation right from the start. My mortgage advisor outlined the process clearly and conducted a thorough affordability exercise before finding the right lender for our requirements. With a lender in place we were handed over to a very professional underwriter who took us through the final complexities of the survey and legal aspects.

As the mortgage process progressed, I was constantly informed of the status, removing the stress and concerns of how it was going.

What was most impressive was that from first contact with TurnKey to completion was less than 30 days and this was over the Christmas/New Year period!

There was a broker fee involved but I have no issues with paying a fee for a quality service. I would recommend dealing with TurnKey to all my friends and colleagues.

From beginning to end all the staff have been most helpful and patient in guiding us to the best product for our requirements.

Compare this with one competitor who still has not responded to a second email, and another who told me that there was not a suitable product to meet our requirements!

Right through the process staff kept us informed of what was happening, expected time scales and next steps. Hard copy documents mailed to us were always supported by a phone call to make sure they were received, understood, and where necessary, mailed back !

I found Turnkey in a search engine on the internet and I wasn't disappointed. I found throughout the procedure of suitability a professional approach, friendly to the right degree, informing me all the way why and what for for my mortgage application would likely be. After passing the initial checks I was told of a potential offer and then I was to be handed over to the underwriter who would take me forward to the conclusion. Then things got a little tricky with the Mortgage provider insisting on all i's and t's being crossed to the enth degree. The underwriter was fantastic, keeping me informed with regular updates and resolutions to what was becoming frustration with the mortgage providers minute detail. I could not praise the underwriter more for a more than satisfactory conclusion, with the money in hand......Well done Turnkey !!

After finding the mortgage lender i was already with unhelpful in finding me a new mortgage deal after my 2 years fixed rate had ended, I decided to look else where, I found i did'nt have the time and the mortgage deals were costing a £1000 plus just to take them out.
