Terrible On-line And Customer Service

I tried to delete an auto-pay payment via on-line because we paid off the balance and I didn't want a credit showing up on that account. I have no faith in USBank and didn't trust that even though the balance was "0", there system would catch this and cancel the payment. I kept getting an error and spent 30 minutes on the phone with customer service trying to resolve the issue. I ended up clearing cookies on my laptop and it worked. No thanks to USBank technical support. A few months later we transferred a balance from another credit card into our USBank credit card, so I tried to set up (online) a monthly auto-pay from our checking account to that credit card. I kept getting an error at the time I was to receive the "confirmation" so I called in and spent 55:54 minutes trying to get it resolved only to be told after speaking with the 3rd customer service rep that they are having an issue with setting up auto-pay services on those USBank American Express cards. Really?! And it took almost an hour for someone to relay this information?! On May 7th I transferred $1000 from our checking into our savings account. The next day I noticed another $500 had been transferred through their START program which we haven't used in almost a year! Seriously?! Their system somehow just transferred money from our account without our authorization?! That could have overdrawn our account! Their online services are jacked up and need they need some real tech professionals to come in and revamp their entire system. We are pulling our accounts because we don't feel this bank is competent enough to handle our money or that our money is in a secure place with USBank.

Ridiculous Website; Can't Access Important Information

I have had a USBank credit card account for several years. To begin with, as many other banks have done to people, they lowered my line of credit to just above my balance which makes it look as if I have 'maxed out' my credit and hurts my credit bureau score.

The website is awful. I set up a direct withdrawal from my checking account (at another bank) to be sure my card was paid on time. Not only can I not find the record of past payments but I cannot find the scheduled future payments. And I would have liked to raise my payment amount, but I can't find anywhere to change the payment amount.

I am in the process of changing my checking account to a different bank and there is no way for me to cancel this withdrawal so I can set it up with my new bank.

It would almost be funny that this bank is so awful to work with if it didn't enrage me so.

Operates Without Legal Authorzation

US Bank says that when you open an account with them that you authorize them to impose the levy laws of any state within which they have branches. While they say this is standard bank operating procedures they do this without statutory authority. There is no federal law or regulation allowing them to impose the laws of one state in another state but banks have been doing so forever. They allow other states to seize funds in your accounts without any law allowing them to do so. They will and have attached social security funds which is illegal under federal law. You must prove that the funds are social security funds. They did this to me over a contested debt which has been going on for 19 years with the state of California for taxes I do not believe I owe but they distributed funds from my account because California placed a levy, under California law, in the state of Missouri (not authorized under Missouri law). Enforcing California law in Missouri without any legal authority to do so and distributing social security funds which are protected under federal law from levy.

Predatory Fees, Unethical, Misinformed! Beware!

US Bank is the absolute worst, least ethical and predatory banks I have ever had the displeasure of having an account with. Their fees are hidden and exorbitant. Most of their staff gives misinformation which costs the customer and which they will not rectify. You could end up in real trouble if you are not constantly checking up on them.

I closed my account in June 2011 because I noticed they had been charging overdraft fees with no overdraft and no longer had free checking and would be charging for all checking accounts if certain criteria were not met. They told me I had to wait for the account to be closed because a $10.00 charge which was made a week ago had still not been paid by the bank! They did this to charge me the next month’s fee on keeping the account open.

After I closed my account, I was sent a letter for a $20.00 fee on .23cents of overdraft I was never informed of when I closed my account. I called and was told to disregard. I received a second letter with $40.00 in overdraft fees. I called to clear up the situation and asked the fees be waived since they had given me incorrect information. I was told nothing could be done and if I didn't pay it, more fees would be incurred. Stay away from this bank if you want a sound mind and your money safe.

This is almost exactly what happened to us also. Horrible! I'm not sure about the association with \"The Bancorp Bank\" but US Bank is by far the worst I have ever dealt with also.

Usbank Office Equipment Finance Services (oefs): T

USBank Office Equipment Finance Services (OEFS): TERRIBLE! This is the "financing tool" that copier companies sell their accounts to. USBank OEFS can't get their head out of a hole-in-the-ground! I've been a client for decades, and they do not communicate well with the companies from whom they buy these contracts (the copier seller). OEFS is "GREEDY" in late fees, when it can take 16 days for an invoice leaving their office to reach my desk, I have to sit down the day I receive the invoice and pay it... or they claim they don't get it in time. What is that? Is it really my fault that their "payment processing center" is so slow. It is probably in Pakistan!

So I recently called customer service...three months ago I provided proof of property damage insurance on this copier, but, hhhmmm, they can't find it, (this after a verbal acknowledgment back when I faxed it) so I'm contacting my commercial insurance agent again (She said: "Todd, we did this 3 months ago...oh, it's USBank, they are notorious for this.") So I'll have to do the process again. And I can just forget about the $30/monthly "Prop Damage Surcharge" I've been charged all these months.

Further, not one, but two "customer service" reps just got sarcastic and condescending with me: The first rep was just plain snotty, but when I pressed for a manager, she (the manager) she accused me of taking "a tone" with her and called me sarcastic (which I was not, it quickly became clear that these "customer service" ladies were neither service-oriented or customer-friendly Saving grace: it is "Talk like a pirate day" so: arg!

U.B. Bank has wonderful customer service! I've messed up so many times and they have always helped. I have been overdraft'ed more than once and more than once it was my fault and they still took off 75% of the fines. They have saved my butt from hundreds of dollars in overdraft charges and I can't thank them enough.

As far as personal banking goes I rate them A +

OH DEAR.......OH dear....just when Downey turned over to US BANK....a $27.00 bounced check turned into "over 300.00" in fees....stolen monies ...USARY

it doesn't matter how or why.....(not my primary account)...it's USARY...I know there will be a lawsuit looming soon...I will be the first to sign up......

when I spoke to the bank manager...not one dollar of fees was reversed...it was "tough"

Where Do I Start?? First Of All, My Husband And I

Where do I start?? First of all, my husband and I were tricked into getting a home mortgage with US Bank because they insisted they had a better deal because if we set up a Five Star Platinum account then we would get 25% off our loan origination fee. The loan officer told us to wait until the last minute to set up the platinum account because otherwise we wouldn't qualify. Great - $900 sounded good to us. When it came time to close (over a month later because it took so long for the loan office to get their stuff together) it turned out that they weren't paying ANYTHING (let alone $900!). The loan officer (which for one was IMPOSSIBLE to get a hold of and had horrible customer service) told me it was because we had set up the platinum account too late and that we should've set it up right away (opposite of what he had told us originally). When we called him out on that, he then said it was because the seller had paid all of our closing costs and that there was no origination fee left to give us a discount on.... which made us irate. The loan officer knew all along how much closing costs were and how much the seller had agreed to pay, and yet he insisted we needed to go with them because we were going to get money back... which wasn't true at all. Cheated!

As if that wasn't enough. The platinum account that we set up has now defaulted to a Five Star Silver package because the mortgage information still hasn't made its way from the mortgage department to the US Bank system.... (so according to the system we don't qualify for the platinum account). Now I have to call and be put on hold everyday to check to see if it's in their system yet. It's been 10 business days since we closed on our house and the information still hasn't made it through, and I'M the one who has to track the information down and RE-set up the account I already set up 3 weeks ago....

Horrible customer service, no coordination between departments and left us with a hassle that should have never been a problem in the first place. Frustrating to say the least! US Bank made buying our first home a NIGHTMARE.

I Have Recently Been Switched From Pomona First Fe

I have recently been switched from Pomona First Federal (PFF) and had an online bill pay account , but NONE of my records prior to April 15, 2009 were saved. I have been told that none of these records can be retrieved. Unfortunately, your bank statements do not show Payees for online banking. only that funds were expended. So, if you were counting on these records for tax purposes, etc. they are not available. Customers were NOT informed that this would happen, it just did. Talk about poor customer service. When this was brought to the branch's attention, even the bank personnel did not know that these records were not saved. Beware Downey Savings customers!!

U.S. Bank has extremely poor customer service. They will get big zero If the bank close your account before you know it. Especially you are with them 24 years and with the reason "irregular activity". Still they can not explain why...I don't know why..All I know I don't have a account with them. After all I guess it's good for me.
