Hsbc Corporate Bank Micki Mouse Banking
I put in a visa dispute with fyes on 14/9/16 for a faulty water pump and got a refund on 8/11/16
HSBC complaint hasn't responded but i got several witholded calls requesting me to contact the bank.which i did waiting at the desk in Coleraine whilst HSBC speak to colleagues about everyday things, then I was kept waiting on phone services via India call centre for half an hour! And branch manager threatens me that she'll close your account rather then help sort out the problem.
HSBC withheld their phone number and leaves messages rather than speak to me,giving me a call on Saturday to spoil my day, getting me to explain the whole scenario
HSBC sent me a letter without contents, apologizing stating that it was my fault for inputting wrong pass key with online banking but i got locked out after i made my complaint with online banking!I had to go to the branch to unlock my account whilst being made to do 4 passwords for security.Another letter stated they dont do cashier services in Northern Ireland.
I got a call from the Coleraine Branch manager in an angered, high ratty voice on saturday getting me to go through the whole scenario again and stating that she'll would put in a complaint but never did.
lousiest bank ever they even stopped my card whilst living abroad in Thailand 7 years ago because I didn't use my card for a month and there is charges abroad especially in Thailand not like they stated free withdraws abroad worldwide!HSBC charge the worst exchange rates!

Hsbc Block Your Debit Card
HSBC Block your account and reset your security number and will not speak to you until you have gone down to a branch with photo id and even then this is not guaranteed to work if the branch don't call through to the department who blocked the card. Happens every Friday its a really sick joke when you can't make mortgage payment because of a Mumbai call centre worker.
Disgraceful service from the worlds local bank.
Most bank will place a block on your account if there is a suspiciion of fraud taking place on the account itself. Granted call centres can be frustrating.
The reason they would request you go into branch is generally that you would have failed you telephone banking security therefore it needs to be reset. However if this problem continues to persist I would recommend making a complaint as this seems to be a recurring problem and they may be some underlying issue.
Couldn't agree more.
They have the worse customer service when it comes to their own loyal customers.

Called To Warn The Fraud Team Of My Overseas Trave
Called to warn the fraud team of my overseas travel (online service not working) the guy told me everything would be fine and even asked what made me think they might block my card. Obviously telling him it had already happened wasn't enough, he was clueless. My card got blocked, had to call to get it working, got blocked again, had to call a third time. Card was put on restriction: £100 a day withdrawal only. On top of the hassle of having to plan everything around ATMs, that doesn't even cover the restaurant for two persons in Barbados. The phone bill cost £100 and they did not get rid of the restriction after the holidays, instead made me close my card leaving me 5 days without a card. Thanks HSBC.
Riase a complaint and a full refund of both your phone bill and the problems caused during your holiday. Note that all phone calls at call centres are recorded. Therefore if the gentleman did not record when and where you were going this is the banks error. They should also state that even though you place a marker it doesnt guarantee it not being blocked if they suspect fraud.
I would recommend complaining as a £100 phone bill is unacceptable and the inconvenience caused.

Hsbc Plus Account Is A Rubbish. Try Not To Fall Fo
HSBC Plus account is a rubbish. Try not to fall for the so called benefits they are giving. I am just waiting for the 12 months to get over and get rid of this idiot account.
If you haven't claimed anything - roadside assistance, travel insurance etc, you can quit at any time. That's what they told me at the branch while signing up.

I Have Been A Hsbc Bank Account Plus Customer For
I have been a HSBC bank account plus customer for a year now and i have to say the account is exceptional. The tvl insurance is second to none and the addition of breakdown cover makes my life even easier. I have called them out twice now and on both occasions they have been able to fix the car at the side of the road.

The Hsbc Plus Service Is An Excellent Account If I
The HSBC plus service is an excellent account if its benefits are applicable to you. The travel insurance they provide is top of the range as opposed to the cheap ones you get elsewhere, the way I've done is that I put £250 into the 10% regular saver monthly that they offer and I found that over a year I earned over £100 in interest which covers the cost of the account and all the other benefits of the account such as the travel insurance, breakdown assistance, 3k life insurance, 6% credit interest, 24 hour telebanking assistance, red 24 ID theft assistance, international debit card are not costing me anything, can't go wrong really.
I've had the plus for over a year and I've used a lot of its features which I thought would never be useful to me.
there is not such a thing like 10% intrest on savings account which will make your 250 quid make you extra 100,what a lot of bull...

I Was A Very Happy Customer Of Hsbc; My Salary Is
I was a very happy customer of HSBC; my salary is paid there, I do cash withdrawals, standing orders, international money transfer (GBP15.00 per transaction), and credit card facilities.
I was always happy with the prompt customer service and prompt transactions.
However, things turned for the worse when I lost my job.
I had to take up the overdraft facility, and without realizing I was overdrawn...
The following month, I was charged GBP25.00, and the next month (still overdrawn without a job) I was charged a whooping GBP100.00. It did not end here even though I managed to secure a job at this point. On the 3rd month, I was charged GBP125.00. This went on until the whole total of charges of my overdrawn overdraft amounted to GBP575.00
That's it HSBC. I am tired of your penalties and moving on to a new bank!!
I found this review very helpful because... I'd heard about this in the press, reading it really happened to someone helped me make up my mind.

Dishonestly Advertising In The Uk That Using Your
Dishonestly advertising in the UK that using your Debit Card Abroad is free of HSBC fees. This in my case has just not been true. HSBC applied a fee of (at least) £2.75 per £100 on every pound I drew from your own account BUT tell you its FREE and you will find it hard to discover how they have taken this fee. The secret is that HSBC do not show you the net cost of your ATM transaction Abroad. All HSBC show you on your bank statement is an exchange rate that HSBC have already removed their £2.75 in the £100.
But I hear you say HSBC tell me that I can use my Debit card abroad FREE of HSBC FEES. So FREE means FREE???
That's correct they publish this offer knowing it to be not quite and knowing that this false claim has already be ruled upon by the Advertising Standards Authority back in August 2007.
Do HSBC care? Not at all, how many customers are going to know that this money has been removed from their account? So if they don't know how can they complain? If they do discover this false advertising HSBC will run rings around that lay-customer with denial letters until the customer hopefully gives up. If 500,000 plus customers draw just £500 from ATM machines abroad believing HSBC that this is FREE to PLUS customers HSBC raise over £6million from this so-called FREE service to HSBC PLUS customers and where do HSBC take this money from? The HSBC PLUS customer.
To be fair they do say something about the exchange rate shown on your statement is inclusive of an adjustment of 2.75%
But hey, that's nothing to do with you that's a FEE they charge you the customer to cover their costs and profit.
But HSBC tell you that PLUS customer paying HSBC £12.95 a month that drawing money abroad from your account if in fact FREE .........yes FREE of HSBC fees.
HSBC are charging you £2.75 in every £100 for this advantage of being a PLUS customer and getting this FREE.
Judge for yourself HSBC current PLUS advertising brochure says
' Worldwide cash withdrawals free of ATM transaction fees from HSBC.'
Which to the lay-customer is unambiguous and straightforward. HSBC go on to explain their offer in more plain English for the lay-customer;
'When you're travelling overseas you can use your debit card as you would in the UK to withdraw cash, or pay for goods and services in shops and store. As a Plus customer we will not charge you an ATM transaction fee when using your Debit card abroad. Just look out for the Maestro or Cirrus symbol'
If HSBC ask you to be a PLUS customer just say no. Whatever HSBC tell you that you will receive as an advantage in exchange from you paying them £12.95 every month. Be sure their record is that HSBC will change what they promised leaving you still paying £12,95 month with egg on your face.
The free ATM withdrawal part relates to when you use HSBC ATM's abroad. If you use another provider then you will be charged and it is in your terms and conditions. It is not a lie, but it is not the whole truth.
Once The Hsbc Bank Account Plus Had Been Opened, A
Once the HSBC Bank Account Plus had been opened, and all transfers had been completed from my old account to the new account, I felt relieved after all the troubles I had with Natwest, until 2 months later... HSBC decided to close down and block my cash card without warning. I called in 3 times within 5 days to unblock, and the main reason was that head office picked out any applicant, and then they do further searched for over 15 years. If there are any judgements, even those that had been satisfied 15 years ago, they automatically reject and shut down the account, which makes it very inconvenient for account holders not knowing anything, until you go to pay bills or go to a cash point. I've complained to a cashier and now the branch manager, telling them they cannot change their mind after they made the offer. In the policy there is nothing to say they reserve the right to re-credit score any time and reject. What happens to a mortgage once it has been accepted for £85k, then in 6 months time they want the money back?
