Good Friendly Staff - Let Down By Systems

I liked my Co-Op Priv Premier account as it had lots of add ons for only £13 per month. This meant that mine, my girlfriend and her son's mobiles were covered plus we had break down cover and travel insurance. . . . .

However although the staff are friendly and always made an effort to help out I got frustrated by the pure lack of being able to keep up to date with my account via the App or online banking - shopping paid on a debit card would take days to come out of my account and yet my girl friend could walk in and pay on her debit card and her bank (Natwest) would show the transaction almost immediately!!

Almost but not quite - have now switched to Natwest but only time will tell!

Customer Service

Efficient, Friendly & Helpful, After A

Efficient, Friendly & Helpful,

After a nightmare experience with the Halifax (both current account and mortgage) it is truly a pleasure to deal with people who know what they are doing and have a good attitude too.

In three years with the Co-op I've never had an issue with them making a mistake, which was almost a monthly occurence with the halifax.

Customer-friendly And Reasonably Efficient. They G

Customer-friendly and reasonably efficient. They generally do what they are asked to do (although they did make a mistake once but immediately and without complaint corrected the matter and took steps to compensate for their failings). They also have a a number of child-friendly services. This is the way a bank should be.

I Have Been With The Co-op 6 Yrs And Mostly Deal W

I have been with the co-op 6 yrs and mostly deal with them via telephone banking. 99% of the time employees are friendly, helpul and very knowledgable. i asked them to put a note on my account stating i would not like to be approached regarding any sales and not one employee has done so since which is great. Other banks i have been with have non uk call centres but the co-op only have uk based call centres which makes things easier. Top quality!!!!

Hardly Friendly Like Their Advertising Platitudes

hardly friendly like their advertising platitudes promise. these people lose your money like nobodies business!!! they don't give a monkey's about their customers and they certainly aren't local, either as the head office of my branch is 85 miles away!

none of them seem to know what they are doing and their fees aren't particularly low, either.

Three Of My Most Important Direct Debits Were Not

Three of my most important direct debits were not set up by the bank. They then cancelled my debit card when I made the payment for my mortgage, which they should have activated and charged me £25.00 for the inconvenience they caused!

The Friendly Staff At Co-op Can't Do Enough To Hel

The friendly staff at Co-op can't do enough to help! The Co-op Bank current account offers really easy to use phone banking, fast card delivery, a flexible approach, and if you go less than £10.00 overdrawn but don't have an overdraft, they won't charge you.

But if you want an overdraft it is expensive (about 19% APR, plus the monthly fee and £15.00 set up charge).
