Useless And Slow

Very frustrating website as i have been expecting quotes quickly but instead it took them 4 days to send me an e-mail and not even with a quotes but just to say that they will call me... Only one company sent me an email after 7 days... I think more hard work needs to be put into this so that people like me can in the end get a proper quote.

Cheers.

Dont Waste Your Money - Go Elsewhere!!

This was the worst removal experience I have had in my life. I have moved and used professional movers each time as each was a corporate funded national (UK and France) and international (UK to Switzerland/France)move. So far about 9 moves in 5 years. This time I was paying for my own move to go back to the UK from France and I happened upon this bunch of con men. They never said they were part loads - basic error. They act as though you have a defined date. They act as though you will get a removal adviser who is tracking your move. Moving day comes - I know the volume of my stuff (as it was only moved by professional movers a few months earlier) to the exact spec. The movers had a no show. Did not turn up!!!! Not good when the lease on your apartment runs out in 48 hours. Phoning this bunch who organised it was hopeless - they were COMPLETELY useless. The adviser hid and never answered my calls/requests for updates or info. Finally got hold of someone who sounded competent - even promised me compensation. Supposedly arranged the "Rolls Royce" (his words) of movers to step in and rescue my situation. "sit back and let them do everything - you wont believe how good they are" It got to 5pm the next day and finally the "Rolls Royce of movers" company showed up - first call was saying they could not get the lorry near my building - even though it was a car park for 50 cars and that was empty. then finally got it in, and they come up. One man and a BOY. Then comes the sharp intake of breath - "ooooh not sure we can get this all loaded in time". "We're only allowed to work for 8 hours a day and we've been driving for 6." All the stuff was packed and ready to go yet this was still their reaction. Finally I tipped them 100 Euros and suddenly they increased their moving power. Having originally planned to move with a day spare for cleaning the apartment for handover - that plan was out of the window - so I had to clean as they were moving me. During which they asked if they could use my shower......for themselves as they had had a long day. Finally got my stuff loaded 7 hours later.

This was by far one of the most stressful moves of my life. Luckily my wife and child were not with me and had gone on ahead. I ended up missing all my prebooked hotels for the journey home and had to move the eurotunnel booking for my car too. John from removal group promised me a "nice bit of compensation for sure" - all promises reneged.....claimed that the lack of access for the lorry meant an extra distance to carry the boxes (not a problem at all for the movers with a bigger lorry who moved me in)and then said that my volume estimate was underestimated. Hence since it was all moved - the compensation was that they would not charge me for the "extra" volume...what a complete liar!!!

If my there is one service to mankind I can do it is advise you against ever using these cowboy con men. They know nothing about removals (even the movers who turned up were shocked at their incompetence and told me to sue them). This firm is a DISASTER!!!!!

Even after the move - someone contacted me a few months later out of the blue asking if I would be interested in joining a class action lawsuit against them. No idea of the practicalities of such a manoeuvre but it was the sentiment and numbers of disatisfied folk that had used them that struck in my mind.

Very Competitive Quote From Removal Group, Happy Days

The quote was very competitive compared to others I had received. The removal group customer service was excellent, and Andrew and Kelly were very easy to get in contact with. I was arranging a move from the UK to Ireland with just over a week to go, and everything was arranged promptly.

This was the first time I had moved house using a real removal company, and the whole experience was relatively stress free, so thank you.

Removal team were great, stayed cheerful despite the immense heat!

Removal Sucess

Just unpacked the final box and I can now relax in my new home after a very stressful time!

The level of service we received from the Removal Group, especially my co-ordinator Matthew Liscott was exceptional and I would certainly recommend these guys. After receiving their quote, I did a bit a research on the company and found out that they were brokers who simply found you the best deal for you removal. This made me a little dubious about using them so I contacted them directly and was put in touch with Matthew Liscott who was assigned to deal with my move. The initial call took over half an hour as Matthew Liscott wanted to get an exact list of what was to be taken so that he could calculate the actual space we needed in the vehicle. Matthew Liscott was extremely thorough which was probably the reason why all went so smooth! I would certainly recommend the Removal Group to potential customers but would advise that you get the volume agreed before you pay the move as I have heard of customers being asked to pay more on delivery!! As i say, no problems for me and I would definately use the Removal Group and Matthew Liscott again!! Good Luck! PD

Lies, lies and lies! Matthwew Liscott has been sacked from that company as per email received in May... They still have nothing else to do than posting their own reviews. Lack of ethics, lies, bribery, what else do they have to offer?

Hi All!

Similar experience for myself. I dealt with a lady called [name removed] who was also very detailed! I'd seen some of the negative reviews about them before I got in touch about their quote but after speaking to [name removed], I felt reassured hat my possessions were in good hands.

Again all went well but defiantely shop around as the prices can be seasonal and there are deals to be had!

THX REMOVAL GROUP!

We've Just Finished Our Move From The Uk, Back To

We've just finished our move from the UK, back to the continent, and we've experienced one of the worst situations ever. Moving is always stressful, but this bunch of incompetent people will make your life miserable.

We decided to use this broker in January 2011, given the rates proposed and having contacted a few other moving companies/brokers. Our first big mistake was to not check the customer reviews on the web before making the decision. There are so many similar stories

First, this is just a broker company, and they do not evaluate the volume of the shipment. The estimate given was far too low, and this resulted in a significant increase of the total amount to be paid. Anyway, at the beginning of the process, they seemed to be responsive and helpful. But, once they receive the money, you're screwed. This is when the nightmare starts, as it becomes impossible to get any reliable information or communication from them: Just vague information and lies!

Even for getting the additional amount to be paid, resulting from the initial underestimation, they are not able to add two numbers correctly. We had to do it ourselves several times, and it takes quite a lot of energy to manage these people.

Having our goods in storage, we then decided to inform them more than 6 weeks in advance to plan for a delivery date in early May. After about 10 emails and many phone calls or so, we struggled to receive any clear information about this. Then, after so many attempts, we did manage to have contact with a man on the phone and had his "confirmation": "Yes, this date has been confirmed with the moving company". Being a bit na ve and already tired of the situation, we took it as granted (Second mistake). They never sent any confirmation by email, despite all our requests.

10 days before the delivery date, once again, I wanted to re-confirm the delivery date with them. As usual, no answer to any of the emails I however succeeded in talking to Stuart Hall over the phone. Looking at "the notes" from his colleague Matthew Liscott, he then mentioned that the delivery date would be a few days later than the original one, and that the final delivery couldn't be done without the payment of the outstanding balance Which was never communicated or explained to us before!!! A real Joke?!!!

As my trust in those guys was going rapidly down, I've therefore attempted to find-out and contact directly the moving company to get some reliable information. Fortunately for us, the moving company that did the packing of our stuff was also the same one that would do the delivery abroad. I've explained to them the situation, and they were helpful and responsive! (Thanks to them!!!). They confirmed that our stuff was still in storage, and there was no delivery planned!!! They proposed to contact the removal group to get further information. The day after, probably following the attempts from the moving company to contact TRG, Stuart Hall sent us an email (A miracle!!!) mentioning that the moving company advised that they did not load the goods for the following week (As initially planned), as the payment issue was still unresolved (??? Funny ). He also mentioned that the next possible delivery date would be during the following week, and that he advised them to proceed with booking delivery for that following week. Then, I quickly called back directly the moving company to double-check this. None of this was true, as he never contacted them back. Furthermore, the moving company also confirmed that the first available date would be later during that month. The moving company then proposed me a possible date, and pushed TRG for getting the approval. After further calls, follow-up emails, TRG did it!!! (And the confirmation came from the Moving Company of course ).

(I have kept the proofs of this story. We were very close to push this forward: We had a letter (It's always good to know a lawyer ) stipulating the breaches of contract and preparing an injunction for them to deliver the goods - This was ready on the day we received the confirmation of the delivery from the moving company)

In a Nutshell, they are clearly incompetent and a bunch of LIARS. They don't care about anything, and I don't even understand WHY people who are running a small business may behave this way

PLEASE DON'T USE THEM!!!!

If you are already using them, my best advice is to contact directly and straight away the actual moving company to get some reliable information.

Moving Can Be Stressful, Trust Me! Not Only Have I

Moving can be stressful, trust me! Not only have I recently moved, I have relocated to the South. Forgetting the fact you probably could buy a street in the north with the money I am paying on my new property, it has been a life changing experience that has lead me to be stressed over the last few weeks. Leading up to moving I thought I would have to book a few days off and having looked through the internet ever company I saw had complaints! Removal Group seem to have complaints, although the removal group complaints seemed a bit too professional. I went with my instinct and decided to go with Removal Group. The process was quick, easy with no complaints and i've been singing their praises ever since.

I'm still not happy about paying more than £3 for a pint but I suppose it is sunnier in the south so no complaints there!. Hope you enjoyed my review
