try to take money from us after quote .They will comme with inventory different from what you sent or will try to charge you for stairs even if you told them in the quote They will try anything to charge you.They have already given us different versions...the only things is to send them to Court.We believe they do this with many customers or possibly every try to charge extra amount between 50 to 250 and more!!!!Nothing but crocs...Just by the way they respond you can see that this is a commun things they practice when they do quote in the way they pretend to do business...Expect issues problems and more!!!!!!!!!!!Horrible people...Honnest no way!

Disgusting service – over 4 hours late, took no responsibility and then asked for a tip!

Booked for between 9.30-10.30am finally turned up after 3pm after repeated phone calls, scratched doors / walls in the place we were moving from and to.

The person we spoke with to find out what was going on constantly lied through the conversation (they said that they didn’t know their managers name and didn’t have a number for them).

We called to confirm the booking 5 days before and they asked to change the time but as we had to be out at a certain time we were unable to – they did it anyway and it looks like we will get charged as a result. When we spoke with them about this on the day the response was - it is only a different time”.

When they did finally turn up we were told that they didn’t have much time and could only give us an hour!

They ruined what was meant to be an exciting day and the whole experience was shameful.

Re www.directremoval.com 02079935069. I had to organise a quick move over a bank holiday. This company said they would provide a 'one stop shop' for removal and storage. They were 2 hours late and didn't have the promised 7.5 tonne vehicle but 2 transit vans. A metal table was put out in the rain until I rescued it and they downed tools after 2 hours to go the local 'chicken shop' for an hour. Worse was to come.

They told me several different reasons why they would be delayed and eventually unable to deliver my things on the appointed day. When I said I would deduct the cost of my hotel they told me I 'should see things from their point of view' and that they had lost money on my move. I was told my stuff would be taken back from Manchester to London if I did not pay in full. As a single woman I felt intimidated. I missed a seminar I had booked as a result of the rescheduled delivery. They were unable to find my address despite having provided it in advance at least 3 times and giving instructions 5 or so times on the day.

On the day I caught one removal man telling his colleague to place boxes in a different room to where I had instructed more than once, this was deliberate. Various knobs etc are missing from my furniture, there are scratches and they dropped a cabinet which fell apart. They put it back together but its considerably weaker. I have yet to receive an apology or any acknowledgement of my complaint. Unfortunately trading standards can't help and they are not registered with any trade association. I only dealt with them via email, neither their website nor any documentation sent to me reveals a postal address-it appears this company does not want to be traced.

Don't make my mistake in hiring this incompetent unprofessional set up.
