Chappell's Removals, Byfleet

My partner engaged chappels and whilst we changed the quote due to additions they were more than accommodating. The van turned up on the day all in good time with two very nice guys who were more than helpful they got on with the job in hand treating the furniture and house with respect.

All our instructions and requests were carried out with a smile without groan or moan and upon arrival at the new dwelling they got on with the job in hand and were more than helpful.

I can not compliment or praise the two employees enough they were a credit to the company and were two really nice guys.

Had a fantastic service from Chappels. The 3 guys on the lorry were brilliant. Polite, helpful and careful. All our stuff was intact, everything went where we asked, nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend to family and friends. I can only say good things about the service we received and cannot think of any negatives.

Moved House yesterday and hired Chappells. Saw some old reviews on here that were not so favourable but decided to book them anyway as a neighbour had used them in the past and highly recommended them to us - am so so glad that we did. The guys were so helpful and friendly. We ran out of boxes the day before the move so called and asked them to bring some with them on moving day so we could pack up out last bits whilst they were loading up the van - they arrived and one of them promptly packed up the last bits of our house for us whilst the other 2 started loading the van. They really didn't have to do that for us but just got on with without even making a fuss - it helped us so much as moving is such a stressful experience and any help you get is much appreciated! honestly do not hesitate to book these guys, they are very professional and polite and nothing was too much trouble, everything was packed in to the van well and nothing has been damaged. Also found that after getting in quite a few quotes they are very reasonable and quality not compromised!

You can always tell when a company is struggling to keep afloat in that they confirm that your requested date of removal is fine and then do not communicate that you have lost your slot and then let you down by saying you can move a week later (which is impossible!).

I was the fool in beleiving what I was promised by the visiting appraisor who reassured me that it was no problem. It cost me dearly in finding a last minute replacement company.I suggest you learn from my pain.

What a first class service from the initial point of contact through to the delivery of our possessions. The crew were absolutely fantastic; cheery, polite and very helpful, nothing was too much to ask for. Took the stress of moving away from us and would have no hesitation in recommending their services. A+++++++++++++

From start to finish they were a total mess.

We had a 4bed house for which their quote man sent the team in a van that was no where near big enough, and his own team said "he does it all the time, he's no good at it".

They opened the van up, and it was such a mess in the back it made me want to turn them away. I mean, if this how they treat their own stuff how will they treat mine?

They then ran out of boxes, and in the end had to do two runs, the second of which was done while the other people were moving in.

On the second unload they finally got help, this was needed i think due to a very unfit looking older mover how looks like hes past his best, and should leave it to the younger guys.

The things we just couldn't look past were things like swearing infront of our young child, fag ends on the drive of our new house and the never ending smell of alcohol.

It's taken me a few months to put this up, but after finally giving on trying to get our money for broken items, well enough is enough.

In short, DO NOT USE.

Started off ok but rapidly descended into disaster. So many things broken and the customer service towards the end and afterwards was appalling. I am severly out of pocket as I have been told I can not claim on the insurance they sold me. I wouldn't recommend this company. If you do use them then check the details of the terms and conditions first.
