Value For Money

Terrible Management & Customer Service/ Non-existent

Summary

1)Owners will provide a great sales pitch, but they will not speak to you again after that

2)Insurance policy they claim to have is not work the paper it is written on, and any damages caused will NOT be compensated

3)Customer service is non-existent

One of the owners came to visit our property to give us a quote. He was a great salesman and we were sold based on the fact that our items would be insured whilst in their Storage facility. We have a complicated move as we were moving into temporary accommodation for 1.5 month, so would have required their services again as our items will be left in their storage. He promised that we would get a 10% discount for when we were moving from the temporary accommodation into our permanent residence. The movers themselves were fantastic. I can’t fault them… they worked hard and he was a true professional

The problems started when we needed to move into our permanent residence.

1)The 10% discount disappeared because apparently in the 1.5 months, they had increased their prices by 20%. I find this very convenient, and they claimed they were doing me a favour by not charging me 20% extra. I asked to speak to one of the owners who never bothered calling me back. The fact is they knew I had no choice but to go with them as my items were in their storage

2)We found out there were Southwark roadworks a week before the move. We immediately contacted Caesey and they started quoting us the term and conditions, when we asked for a date change. Apparently, even a date change (which was completely unavoidable.... like the council closing the road) with a week ahead notice, is considered a cancellation and that will result in a 50% non-refundable cost. Thankfully after consulting with Southwark we got an exception and they allowed us to park outside. Funnily enough Caesey called me the day before asking for a time change, but did not offer me 50% cancellation on their behave…

3)Moving into the property we again had a team lead by the same man. Unfortunately this time there were damages to the property including damages to the furniture and fittings. The payment to Casey’s is automatic and it had already come out of my account…. as they used the same card as the one I used to pay the deposit. I wrote to Caesey’s about the damages immediately and was told I would get someone coming over to review. That was 1 month ago, and after 4 emails and no response, I am now writing this review.

Quality Of Service Appaulimg

They came the day before early to pack & only wanted to leave our bed. They took plates, all utensils leaving us nothing to eat with & said we shouldn’t of left it out or told them not to pack. They knew we had a pet & behind our backs packed all our pets food on to the van & refused to bring it back. In the new house we found 1/2 our new plates broken & can’t find a lot of our stuff. It was quick quick & out with them, no quality of service. Expensive service & we paid for a packing service for poor quality. Not a company I would recommend.

Avoid

Avoid this company, they charged £3,144 for a single trip 18 ton truck removal from Kingston to North London. After encountering a very rude manager who was completely unprofessional choosing to use expletives over the phone, I certainly will not be recommending them. I will be leaving bad reviews for this company on every review website going...shame on you Casey's Removals

Really Glad We Used Casey's

We booked Casey's removals and paid a deposit before checking the reviews. If we'd checked first, we would have been put off and wouldn't have used them - I'm so glad we did use them.

We had a huge amount to move so it was done over two days, which made the process less stressful. The whole move was managed very efficiently and the firm was very reliable in terms of doing exactly what they said they would. The removers were all friendly, extremely hard working and very polite at all times. There were a few difficulties in terms of getting the lorries down our rather narrow unmade-up road with low hanging trees, however there were no complaints, just sensible and appropriate problem solving applied.

There were no surprise surcharges as others have referred to, we paid exactly what we were quoted.

We would happily use Casey's again.

We Recently Used This Company To Move. When They

We recently used this company to move. When they came to quote they said do not be taken in by cheaper quotes as they will not send enough men and a van that is too small for the job. The quote they gave us was certainly not the cheapest and as we wanted a reputable company to do a good job as at the time my husband was suffering from a bad back we were assured that there would be plenty of men available for the move and the correct size van would be provided.

Exactly what he warned would happen with a cheaper company is what happened with them.

6.30am only 2 men arrived to move us from a 5 bedroom 3 reception house.

The van provided was not bigger enough and So we had to load our cars up in order to get everything.

With only 2 men it was 9.30 in the evening before we finished and it would have been a lot later if I had not helped to unload the van.

We have left several messages for the owners of this company to get back to us. But it would appear that they have our money they do not care and there is no customer service at all.

The 2 men the company provided worked hard and done the best they could in the circumstances.

My advise would be not to use this company and also not to believe what they say when they come round to quote.

Terrible Service

They did not show up as planned or even have the decency to call and let us know what was going on. After an hour and a half of waiting we got in touch with them to be told they were "stuck in traffic". We told them we would contact someone with at least some degree of professionalism and that their 'services' would no longer be required

No Show For Quote

I had an appointment for a quote that they didn't turn up to or even have the manners to call.

Zero Stars - Avoid

We used Caseys for a move out of London. We wish we hadn’t.

We had quotes from a number of removal firms. We went with Caseys because it was local and was a member of the National Guild of Removers & Storers.

When moving our furniture into our new home, Caseys walked our leather sofa into a door handle - penetrating the leather of the sofa back.

Shortly afterwards, we had a call from Caseys – they wanted to charge us more because their van was unable to get around the corner of the close the new house was in. They do not seem to understand “a price is a price is a price”.

After a battle with the credit card company, we are trying to withhold payment until Caseys get our sofa repaired.

The Guild is uninterested in helping us. Caseys is threatening to sue us.

It is all very worrying, and highly stressful. Moving house is stressful enough without this poor customer service.

I would not recommend Caseys to anyone. Even my worst enemy.

Dreadful Service- Do Not Use!

Initially they seemed very good. They came round to assess my flat and gave a competitive quote. They arrived on time on the day I requested. That's where it went wrong.

They turned up without tools despite the fact when they assessed the job I was told they would dismantle the bed and put it back together again. One of the men had to go to a shop to buy relevant tools- therefore delaying the job. They took the bed partially apart and in order to 'save time' tried to take it with slats still attached and 3 of the sides screwed together. Needless to say they broke the bed when attempting to move it into my new flat. I now have no bed. I moved yesterday morning and no one has been in touch since to speak to me about this matter.

I was also told during the assessment that they would bring wardrobe boxes for my clothes. They did not arrive with these and I was sent to the shop to buy bin bags to put them in.

Finally once they had left and I'd started to unpack I discovered that a box is missing. This box has rather expensive items in it including several DVDs and my whole collection of 3DS games. I am yet to hear back from them regarding this matter.

Do not use this company!
