Superb Service, Dec 2018
Extremely accommodating and helpful, very communicative and responsive, very careful. We had superb service from Bennetts mid December 2018 who helped us pack our house in record time (short notice due to circumstances beyond our control) and move us a day later. They were extremely flexible and somehow managed to juggle our requirements with their existing bookings, such that we kept to our essential deadline and moved in to our new house before Christmas. I recommend them without hesitation.

Freinds And Family Have Always Used Bennets To Mov
Freinds and family have always used Bennets to move house so we used them on recommendation. The guys on the van were great and couldn't help enough. The people in the office (owner and wife I believe) were ok but talked us into taking out a higher insurance premium. Our belongings were moved into storage for a few weeks and then out to our new house. After a few days we realised that boxes were missing and got in touch with Bennets who failed to return our calls several times. Eventually they agreed to look into the matter and basically blamed us for not looking properly. The only way they would progress our complaint was if we agrred for members of their staff to 'search' our house for the missing belongings. We eventually agreed to this just to get an insurance claim form. Needless to say they couldn't find the missing items and agreed to send a claim form. They did this 3 time and each time they 'got lost in the post'. We eventually got a form when a member of my family went into the office and caught them off guard. We filled in the form, returned it via registered post and heard nothing more. We wet to the removal ombudsmen who eventually got them to forward the claim for to the insurers only after threatening them with dismissal from the British Association of Removers.
We got a letter from the insurers saying that the insurance isn't valid if you pack your own boxes - A point Bennetts forgot to mention when getting twice the insurance premium out of us!
This client has omitted to mention that our quotation documentation clearly explains that owner packed effects are not covered for damage/loss only in the instance of negligence, however, as the client moved to a property that could not accomodate all the cartons we moved there remained a large quantity of cartons unpacked. We offered immediately to send our own staff to complete all of the unpacking with no charge as we were confident that if we had moved these boxed items then we would find them but the client would not allow this - it took six months and the involvement of the BAR before our client agreed to let us attend to unpack - when our staff arrive there were no cartons to unpack, client had done this. The claim contained items that were never originally declared as missing, and, client had segregated boxes to be moved to their family's property by themselves but failed to mention this. The insurers were not prepared to pay a claim when the remover (ourselves) never moved all of the packed cartons, and the client altered the claim list over 6 months period and wouldn't allow us to complete the unpacking - it was impossible to say anything was missing unless the unpacking was completed. I believe this review to be unfair and it omits vital details which question whether or not the stated missing items were ever moved by ourselves. We do not hide any insurance information and our paperwork clearly states all terms and conditions.
