Typical yankee based firm, take your money and ignore you, nearly a thousand pounds outlay, and do you think I can get in touch with them, forget it.I cannot download the app, I cannot even print the map to show my wife and daughter in law where they are staying, and to find a contact email address where I can take up these issues, I searched high and low for 2, yes 2 days , when I found one, it would NOT accept either property ID registration ID, it managed to accept my email address and that was about all. The next step I guess is Trading Standards.

What an awful experience from an awful firm.

Managed to get in contact via a chat line, 45 minutes it took me to persuade them to send me details, 45 minutes, no more no less, and their site STILL wont let me print anything, do ou know what they said, WE CANT SEND YOU DETAILS OF THE HOUSE YOU HAVE RENTED ITS AGAINST THE DATA PROTECTION ACT/// how ludicrous, it,s the normal excuse for incompetence.

Book with this firm at your peril, incompetence is their byword, they ARE good at taking your money

So I show the kids where we are going on holiday this year and they are thrilled and super excited.

Having been speaking with the Property Manager, of 'Gorgeous places to stay' - another company to avoid, he saw it for to inflate the price without even notifying me. Had I not been thorough in checking the quote, I'd never have noticed.

So I try to resolve it with the aforementioned property manager but it's apparently acceptable to them to state the previous advertised price was incorrect and the new inflated price is actually correct.

Owners Direct have successfully sloped their shoulders and hidden behind the fact they are the middle men and referred it back to the Property Manager. The same one that couldn't care less in the first place.

Two appalling companies that should be avoided at all costs.

I have used owners Direct in the past it was easy to navigate and easy to find properties we had found before but not now. All of the properties are privately owned, owners direct is just an advertisement site but it's changed for the worst now one of our friends has an apartment on there and he has told me his contacts has reduced dramatically and thinks the site isn't working properly . the site has been taken over by an American company who have ruined a perfectly good site and he is now finding it difficult to use he isn't getting any customers and said he won't be renewing next year. What a shame. Does anyone know if a good holiday villa site.

Visited twice now great place lively villa clean and plenty of lively furniture. Beds comfy pool great very private. Bbq a added bonus on warm evenings. Close to coral bay strip 10 mins holiday pace. Close to beach. Plenty or restaurants to choose from to suit all ages and tastes. The owner always very helpful and will help with car hire and taxi from airport which is about 20 mins away. Sleep 6 comfortably.

Did not know what to expect but this apartment exceeded all of our expectation.The beds were so comfortable the kitchen fully fitted free wifi and English T.V. and spotlessly clean.The small complex has beautiful grounds and an usual guitar shape swimming pool.The views from both balconies are exceptional with sea on one side and beautiful gardens the other The bonus for us was the complex it was quiet and the permanent residents helpful and friendly.Having eyesight problems not able to drive just a short walk away is the bus stop taking you 1.20 euros up to the old village the Playa for nightlife bars etc and to the Commercial Centre for the supermarket.We had a most enjoyable stay so much so we are contemplating another break in the Autumn.

The owner even took time out to make sure we were happy with everything and gave us a few hints on restaurants buses etc which we did appreciate

All in all we would highly recommend this apartment

Skrinkle cottage is in the centre of tenby and there is no parking space, there is a pub at the end of the road not far away that is noisy at weekends. The cottage had dirty sinks and mould/mildew in the shower area and curtain which was very unpleasant, the furniture and upholstery is tired and needs updating. There are 2 bedrooms one with a mezzanine level with very thin curtains that make no difference when you close them to keeping the light out, the bed in the master bedroom is hard and very uncomfortable in our opinion. We had several problems during our stay the first being the broken lock on the patio door that my husband had to fix. The kitchen tap broke on the third day and it took 2 days for the owners to fix it and at one point left us with no water at all in the cottage. The most worrying thing was the fixing and wires on the landing ceiling hanging down where a smoke alarm had once been which was missing, I contacted the owners and was told that the fire safety was fine but 2 days later an electrician turned up out of the blue early one morning to fix it. In the children's room there was the casing and wires from a missing down lighter hanging from the ceiling and easy access to the eaves which contained wires on the mezzanine level which could've been dangerous if our eldest daughter hadn't told us on the second day.

Other things to be aware of: no freezer or ice box in the kitchen, no hair dryer, generally unclean especially bathroom and dusty bedrooms, house is on the market to be sold.

WE BOOKED THE GRANERY FOR A FAMILY XMAS, ON ARRIVAL WE FOUND A MID TERRACED COTTAGE, NO SPACE, NOT ENOUGH SEATING,& INADIQUATE COOKING FACILITIES FOR A FAMILY OF 8 PLUS BABY. IT WAS COLD SHABBILY FURNISHED & UNINVITING. WE ASKED FOR ALTERNATIVE ACCOMODATION & WERE TOLD WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET. WE WERE REFUSED A REFUND & LEFT & SPENT THE WEEK AT MY DAUGHTERS.

I booked through owners direct,ref s13543, apartment address is Club Bella Sol, Urbanizacion Riviera Del Sol, Calle Zeus, BL 2, Apartment 11, Mijas Costa, 29649, Malaga.

Booking the apartment was easy enough and the owner was pleasant and helpful. We paid the rent charge and also a £100 security damage deposit which was to be given back on our return home.

The apartment was really dirty., but with two small children cleanliness is a must. The pillows were unacceptable, the oven really greasy and some sort of slime inside, the kettle needed replacing ,I could go on. I don't ask for much. The photo's advertising the property does not show this of course.

We reporting damage which was already there when we arrived. But on our arrival back the owner rudely said she refuses to pay our deposit back on the grounds that there was damage that hadn't been reported!

I am sick and tired of being ripped off and not speaking out. I contacted Owners Direct and explained my terrible situation and asked for help.

They simply suggested that I should keep in contact with the owner and try to resolve the money stealing matter myself!

We will not ever be using Owners direct again. If anyone can help with any advise please let me know and please steer clear of this terrible apartment.

Used Owners direct twice our first villa in August 2011 was excellent and the owner had obviously looked after his villa and kept us informed along the way so that was a great holiday with a very well maintained property. Unfortunately we booked to go to Blue Serenity One which is a villa in Pervolia,Cyprus and this was definitely not up to scratch, too many horrid things to mention including musty, mouldy damp bedrooms, dirty delapidated sofas, a broken fridge, broken sun loungers must I go on!

To help the customer choose their holiday accomodation it would be useful if the site could offer a section for customer feedback and unbiased reviews to help make an informed decision. I would definetely use the site again but would certainly do my homework when it came to the owner/manager as we are still awaiting a reply to our complaints! you live and learn.

I took my son to France by ferry this month with a friend and her daughter (both 4) as our husbands couldn't get time off and we stayed about 20 minutes from Cherbourg in a gorgeous big farmhouse rented via Owners Direct - it was the owners holiday home and they met us on arrival and gave us a tour. They welcomed us to use anything we wanted from the larder, fridge and cupboards and there was also a plentiful supply of games, toys, books and DVDs. It made our stay so easy because everything was on hand. The utility room was great as we did all of our washing before coming home too! Renting a self catering property has huge benefits as many parents will agree it's sometimes more relaxing to eat once the children are in bed so we did just that and dined al fresco after they were asleep with a bottle of cold rose in the gorgeous garden. Arranging the trip was easy, we emailed with the owners to confirm our arrival details and had one phone call to check through finer points and ask a few questions. For families it's so simple and the choice is huge - you come home eager to plan your next trip and find another hidden gem!
