Great Customer Service
I had a great experience working with Hyde and Rowe Estate Agents. She was very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly throughout the entire process. She was always available to answer my questions and provided quick and helpful responses. Her positive attitude kept everyone motivated and made the whole process much less stressful. Don't Go With Them
I along with many landlords I've spoken too all had payment issues as well as damage issues and poor service.
I ended up taking them to court as they refused to let me sell my property as they had illegal migrants on short term from the council.
I know this due to the covid tests that had never been opened and the reports from my suffering neighbours.

This Agency Is The Worst! Don't Do It.
Please be warned; this company does not have your best interest in mind. I was convinced by the Croydon office manager to let my property to them through their guaranteed rent scheme. This was the worst thing I could have done. Hyde and Rowe were late with my rent from the very first day, they always blamed the councils for not paying them on time. I had to constantly ask them for rent statements, and every time they had workmen go into the property, they could never produce an invoice. They would always find a way to deduct my rent in some way. I found it very bizarre that they never provided paperwork, it makes you wonder what their accounts are like. They always appeared to be disorganised and if I raised an issue, they wouldn’t respond. Although, I was already renting the flat out to them; one of their staff members called to find out if I wanted to rent the flat out with them. They really are idiots.
I am convinced that either they recently hired all new staff. They accused me of knowingly renting out my flat to them with damp issues and then tried to get me to pay them back 5 months’ worth of rent (which they didn’t even always pay me). Although, it was guaranteed rent – which meant that they were my tenants and the people occupying the property were their tenants; they kept saying that I have put MY tenants in danger due to damp.
I tried on several occasions to get out of my contract as they broke the terms of our contract so many times but they refused to let me out until the day they threatened to take me to court for over £5000. I responded to their email and haven’t heard from them since; I’m guessing they dropped the ‘case’. I would urge you to consider another estate agent; they are dishonest, unorganised. STAY AWAY!!!!!

So Many Viewings!
My sale fell through with another local agent. I chose them after that, and they actually delivered to my expectations! I had viewings every day, and it is now sold. Job done! Would recommend to my friends any day of the week. Fantastic service, professional through and through!

Useless, Useless, Useless....and Dodgy
Didn't reply to urgent emails several months ago when one of their tenant's flats started leaking water into our private flat.
After a week nothing had been done. Finally, after 2 weeks something was done. Too late as it had already stripped the wallpaper and mould was now appearing.
Several months on again I am on to them about something urgent.....No reply.
Trustpilot reviews seem to be fake. The 5-star ones are done by people who have only ever left 1 review ever and joined 3 days before leaving the review. All the others with low scores ie 1 star are users that have left a handful or more reviews. The only people to benefit from this would be Hyde and Rowe themselves which just shows what a shady business they run.
I hope you never have to deal with them as it's like talking to a brick wall.

Hyde And Rowe: Be Warned! Worst Letting Agents
I have been a landlord with Hyde and Rowe Ltd, of South Croydon for several years. Over the last 2 years the rent due to me from them has increased to over GBP 5,000 (Dec 2021).
I have emailed, called, messaged and visited the office countless times since Dec 2021 to resolve this. Each time to be fobbed off and told they would look into the matter. I have even provided my own bank statement receipts to assist them with their accounts. The matter was escalated to the Regional Manager in Jan 2022 who after pursuing him constantly, made some head way.
On March 8th, 2022 I met with the Regional Manager to resolve the arrears and exit repairs for the termination of the contract. I was constantly promised payment which never arrived. We agreed a way forward with me absorbing some costs just to finish with them, and them agreeing to pay the arrears balances including the excess of having not been able to return the property to me as per the contract (termination date was Jan 5th, 2022 and as of April 8th, 2022 exit repairs had still not been made.) The Regional Manager was to put in writing the agreement.
I heard nothing from Hyde and Rowe until I visited their offices a month later on April 8th,2022. No emails, phone calls or messages were returned. On this visit I was informed by the Regional Manager that he was extracting himself from the situation and could/would not deal with the issue. He referred me to senior management. Who was senior management? The owner and himself? Dilemma: in the past he had always been the shield for the owner and had not let me have contact with her. All my emails also included her, to which she never responded. So how do I make contact with her? More annoyingly, he never since the March 8th, 2022 to April 8th replied to my calls or messages to notify me that he was not dealing with the matter. It took me to go into the office and face him for him to tell me.
I was promised that on April 12th, 2022 when the owner returned from holiday he would set up a meeting. Today is April 14th and still not a peep. I called today and got told that the owner is away and can’t be met. I am aware the owner is in the office tomorrow, but yet again been fobbed off.
Although the team is pleasant they have little to no decision making authority. I am told the only decision maker is the owner. Whenever trying to get a situation resolved you are blocked by her team and no contact is allowed with her. How then can a situation be solved?
The senior team has shown a severe lack of professionalism and non-existent trading standards. They do no responds to communications; do not keep to promises; give dubious excuses - its always someone else’ fault i.e. letting team, accounts, managers. Even the property upkeep was mismanaged and they would not take accountability.
This is the second round of rental arrears that has built up. My health is suffering due to the stress this business has caused just to clear the accounts and terminate a contract.
SAVE YOURSELF! DON’T USE THEM!
On the onset of the letting contract, they promised everything that a reputable business should, but trust me they are not. They try to rinse every penny out of you!

Unfortunately, I chose not to pursue the small claims court as was spending most of my time abroad.
I am in a similar situation. Will post an honest, succinct Google review. They are holding my property hostage, notice of withdrawal handed in Sept 2021. Almost 2 years on and the still haven't returned the property. The ignore my communication. Hyde & Rowe caused me so much anxiety and distress.
