Edenvale- Avoid Like The Plague If U Want To Keep Ur Deposit

Where to start.

Having moved in, we had no hot water for nearly 4 weeks, and were met with unsympathetic, unhelpful attitudes from the company from the start.

After this, we experienced terrible mould problems, a broken toilet seat (which in the end we had to buy and replace ourselves despite moving in and it being broken), and various other problems.

We wrote a long email of complaint to the senior manager/directors of the company at the lack of responses we had received.

We heard nothing back. Nothing at all!

The worst part is yet to come.

Upon moving out, I personally cleaned the apartment thoroughly, fully checked the inventory, and left the apartment in the same condition (if not better) than when I had moved in.

Edenvale-Uk are now stating that there is massive damage to the walls, the iron and ironing board are burnt (we had used our own iron throughout the tenancy!), a glass coffee table is missing (!!!!), and that we will be charged for the apartment to be fully and professionally cleaned. Additionally, they are trying to charge us for a 'badly stained carpet'. I have written in the inventory that when we moved in the carpet was very badly stained and I requested the carpet to be cleaned or replaced. THIS WAS TOTALLY IGNORED and now they are trying to charge us for a full carpet clean and if the stains dont come out, the carpet to be replaced!

Additionally, I stated in the inventory there was a hole in my bedroom wall which needed to be filled in.

Again this was IGNORED, I then had to cover this with posters which they are now claiming have ,marked the walls.

I am now taking this matter to court via solicitors to resolve this and ensure we are not charged for these ridiculous claims. I will also be claiming for compensation for the sheer stress they have caused.

Do NOT sign a tenancy agreement with this agency, you WILL be ripped off and they will try to take you for every penny. Sad but true.

I second that, took 3 months to chase agency people for getting my cooker done. At last when I got tired of repeated emails about getting it fixed, they termed it was not on their list of urgent tasks. I warned them am getting it fixed and sending them reimbursement charge and then they fixed it. All this took 2 months, that means I couldn't cook.
