Very Bad Service

Very bad service, unprofessional and rude people. Very dishonest and don't respect their clients at all.

I’m struggling to understand how you can be writing this I have just sold my house with them and have nothing but praise for the way they conduct themselves, every aspect of the selling process was carried out brilliantly from the 1st visit right up to the after sales follow up calls , always polite,

respectful, punctual, knowledgable, and really easy to access with any queries or questions,

This really doesn’t reflect the great team that I have just worked with to sell my house.

A Waste Of Time.

Awful service, don't waste your time. They do nothing other than wait for people to look at online adverts, and rely on their emails to get people in. They told us they could sell our flat for £300k with a 1.5% fee. We were skeptical, thinking it more £275k, but decided to let them put their money where their mouth was: we offered a sliding scale commission in order to incentivise their team, offering 2% if they actually did sell for £300k: essentially offering them more money for just doing the job they said they'd do. In 4 weeks they'd brought in 4 people to view. They complained (to us!) it was because of the price and dropped it by £25k in one go. This did nothing to bring people in. Thankfully we'd also agreed just a 4-week contract so we were able to get out and get a proper agency in. It's two weeks post-contract and I'm now chasing them to return our spare key, which we'd given them so they could bring viewers round whenever. They are saying they're 'too busy' to return it and that we should come and get it ourselves! We live a 5-minute drive from their office and there are currently two Goodfellows signs outside our block - it's hardly out of their way! Absolutely ridiculous. A total waste of time.

Are These Guys Serious?

The whole process was the most unprofessional we have ever experienced. From day one when Jarivs (the agent or thats what he called himself) didn’t even turn up to the viewing (and left the owner to show us round) it was awful. Constantly agents have out of office on, then you call the office and they just take a message with no reply - there is no ownership of who is doing what it as an absolute mess!

Jarvis wouldn’t even acknowledge offers or return calls - its almost like he hah a hidden agenda.

I understand that they have had it very easy over the last 5 years with houses selling themselves, however I hope Brexit actually makes these guys turn up and do some work for their clients.

Unprofessional Rude Deceiptful

A so called letting manager caused us chaos and financial misery with her total lack of organisation. Basically saying anything we wanted to hear and then refusing to help with the line" its not my job"

Never! Never! have anything to do with this shambolic business.

Nothing else to say except don't use them !

We went with Turners in the end btw.

Deceiving Practices

We registered with them to view a property. Received a call, saying they wanted to know our financial situation, as they want to be able to pitch to "potential" vendors to list their properties. Bizarre?

Worst thing is this was just a cover-up to see if they can pitch you their financial advisory services for mortgages and so forth.

Avoid this agency at all costs - they look like they don't care about customers and trying to squeeze as much as they can out of you through sharp practices.

Horrible, Rude, And Useless Lettings Agents

I have chosen goodfellows from a various different agents, as I have been in touch with them before and they seemed to be ok. Oh how wrong I was, I just found out after renting property via their company.

People working at Morden office are the most dishonest, rude people I have ever met. I think they have such high beliefs about themselves and their work that they have forgotten that there are another million or so letting agents around London we can use. In general I think they treat tenants like vermin, and only money and Landlords count in their opinion.

I am not going to write more about them, as do not wish to waste more time on their unprofessionalism and stupidity. I would never use them again in my whole life even if they would be the last agency standing. Please do not use them, unless you want to be charge for maintenance issues which even arose before you moved to property.

Rudest Most Dishonest Company I Have Ever Dealt With!

Goodfellows of Morden who should change their name to Badfellows!

This is quite simply the rudest, most avaricious, dishonest and unscrupulous company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with on either a personal or professional basis. They lied to us from the start. When we moved in the front and back gardens were strewn with builders rubble. I am a builder and would never leave a property in that state.

None of the woodwork was finished in the house. The handle for the bathroom window had been glued on not properly affixed.

The gutter and downpipe leaked down the front of the house. The back roof was in a state of disrepair and tiles used to fall from it which could have been fatal if they hit anyone.

Despite numerous requests none of these problems were ever fixed.

They even tried to up the rent at the end of the first year, an increase I refused as they were completely in breach of the agreement. They took a deposit from us which I don't believe they had any intention of ever giving back and I am now taking legal action to recover it.

Upon moving out they even expected us to pay for their check out checks which I refused. This is in addition to all their hidden charges and mythical extras.

Put simply they are an incompetent, dishonest agency representing slum landlords who never admit any liability or responsibility for anything.

I would also love to know how a cut and pasted tennacy renewal can possibly cost £85 to print and how two credit checks costing £3.50 each can possiby ammount to over £400.

Rip off from start to finish!

Hidden Charges Everywhere

Awful to deal with as a tenant. As a result we are moving out. we've always paid our rent on time and looked after the house. Their fees are ridiculous and i'm sure the landlord would be happy to know that they haven't inspected or house in the two years that we've lived there.

they charge £174 to leave the house at the end of the contract and £90 per tenant for a reference. They are nasty people to deal with on the phone.

Suspect Sharp Practice @ Raynes Park Office

We are currently trying to find somewhere to buy having been a tenant of the same property for nearly 9 years. In that time the rent was paid one day late on only one occasion, which we informed Goodfellows of well in advance. Having taken over management if the property Goodfellows have been adequate at best. As the landlord has never put the rent up we put up with kitchen falling apart, 15 year-old carpets and shoddy repairs. However, when Goodfellows told us to renew our tenancy and allow them their annual inspection we asked if we could have a rolling tenancy or a renewal but with a 2 month get out clause as we were in negotiations to buy at the time. Instead of engaging with us or even responding for that matter, we were told the rent was to be increased by £400 pcm and asked how we felt about this. We responded by email proposing that such an increase should at least guarantee the property be brought up to the standard you would expect for that sort of money and listed everything that needed repairing/replacement. Again no attempt to negotiate, I just came home from work to a section 21 notice to quit. Thanks to Goodfellows we will now have to commit to at least 6 (possibly 12) month tenancy elsewhere, at a time when we are trying to buy and could have offered flexibility as a positive.

Good Service As A Landlord

I have several properties with GoodFellows, have had for several years and have dealt with many agents on full management and I find them to be more than adequate to make decisions when I have not been available to keep my tenant happy, they provide a very good service and have earnt my trust.
