Do not use the East ham branch - their incompetence cost me a 10k loss in my house sale. Very bad service and customer service

Have had direct dealings with the Epping branch, and the manager is an arrogant man who will lie to your face. They couldn't care less about their clients, all they are after is the biggest fee they can get.

Have now just had dealings with the Chigwell branch (not by choice, they were further down the chain) and they have the same mentality of being complete strangers to the truth.

I would advise my worst enemy to avoid this company at all costs.

I am so disgusted by there attitude & bare faced lies, that any future property transactions I make, I will make sure Douglas Allen are not involved in any part of the chain, and if they are, I will walk away from the deal full stop.

They say they aim to be the no 1 agent in Essex, well their already there. The no 1 worst.

Horrific 'service' from the East Ham branch - aggressive, dishonest (whether it's on purpose or just incompetence, who knows!) and not in keeping with the level of service expected from an agency of this size.

Freddy from Barkingside was meant to call me back within a day. I heard nothing for THREE days! When I called Freddy's tone of voice was VERY RUDE! Talking to me as though I was a child. What attitude is that?! I asked them to take me of their list and not call me again. I will never use Douglas Allen again.

Dreadful service from Douglas Allen. They arranged a viewing for me and when I turned up having travelled quite far on the train there was noone there. When I rang Douglas Allen they said that they had meant to cancel the appointments as the property had been sold. Nobody had rung me to cancel or even told me that the property was no longer available. I thought it was dreadful customer service and the person on the phone just said it wasn't her fault. I will not be purchasing a property through them.

Not at all professional. Thought they should be selling secondhand cars. Older people be aware talk to other agents before signing anything with Douglas Allen.

Has withdrawn from them and with other agents.

After being told by Douglas Allen Spiro that they have a good rep and could 'sell my house' in 6 weeks as in good location i signed in good faith. I did not know that in the small print their contract was for 16 WEEKS !!

After the service i received I was shocked to know that i was tied sole all this time and hence when it expired changed estate agents - then sold within 2 weeks !

ASK TO SEE CONTRACT BEFORE SIGNING !!
