Please be aware that this is a complete hard sell.  I had set my heart on a car , arranged appointment arrived, was taken into a room all my details taken including passport and bank card , filled all paperwork in then the salesman disappeared only to come and tell me the car I wanted was in repair, he then tried to sell me a similar car much more expensive at this point all my documents where upstairs with the so called underwiters , after I refused he got up disappeared then another so called sales person came to try to sell me the same car , I told him I was waiting of my documents and I wanted to leave. I waited another 1 hr before they very reluctantly handed me my documents back.

Please beware they will do everything in their power to sign you up to a car even if you can't really afford it .

I will never go there again

When writing a view like this, I try to be measured and fair and keep my emotions out of it, but that may be hard in this case.

I am a British Citizen who has been working abroad for over 7 years. On returning to the UK we found it difficult to get credit for anything as we had no UK credit history. We bought a cheap car without finance, but that needed major repairs, and was not economically viable to fix. My daughter goes to school 25 miles away, so we need a reliable car to get her there.

I was so happy and relieved when I got a call from this company telling me that finance had been approved and I could go and pick a car out from their premises in Manchester, which is about 250 miles away from my home. That call was on a Friday, so we arranged to go up to Manchester on the Sunday, when they told me we would be able to drive the car away.

So we made the journey up, met with the salesman who again confirmed that finance had been agreed and we just needed to choose the car. So we chose the car and the salesman disappears saying he was going to get everything organised.

Some time later (and I mean about an hour) he came back in and said they could not get drive away finance approved, but they were still working on it. However, we were not to worry as other finance was already approved, but we may not be able to drive the car away that day. I had found some issues with the car, which he said they would fix, but, understandably, they could not do it that day. He went away again, purportedly to go and chase up the finance.

Eventually, and I mean at least another hour later, he returned saying he could not get the drive away finance agreed, but we were still not to worry as other finance was agreed, but we would have to return another day to meet with the finance agent and sign the papers. Given the repairs required, I was happy to do this, just grateful that we would be able to buy a reliable car.

So I arranged to return on the following Wednesday.

On the allotted day, I arrived at their premises at around 2pm. I was seen by the same salesman who said he would be with me shortly. Some time later, probably half an hour, he returned to tell me that the car I had chosen had failed its MOT on Monday and that even if they repaired it, they would not be happy selling me the car. I didn't believe him.   I sure of this as the car was not even at the premises. My presumption is that they had sold the car to someone else, who really did have finance agreed.

So I chose a different car. The salesman goes off again. Eventually he returns and says the finance company want a previous UK address, which I provided to him. He told me, and he looked me square in the eye when he did so, that they had been trying to contact me since Monday to get this address. He said they didn't have my mobile number, they had been trying the house number. I had worked from home on the Monday and Tuesday, so it wasn't true that that they were calling the house number. I also showed him the call log on my phone, showing they had called my mobile number the previous Friday, and the text from them confirming my appointment with them on the Sunday. He maintained that they didn't have my mobile number.

So he disappeared again. At just before 7pm he returned. Bear in mind I have now been sitting there waiting for around 5 hours. He tells me that they have been trying to get through to the finance company for me to speak to them, but there is a "pecking order" and obviously I wasn't important enough. He told me not to worry though, finance was approved, the finance company just needed to speak to me personally. He offered to arrange accommodation for me to stay in Manchester over night as I would be able to speak to the finance company the following day and drive the car away.

By this time I was beyond angry and more than a little tired and emotional. I agreed to stay over and told the salesman to call me the next day.

The next day I did manage to speak to the finance company directly. However, it was a fairly short conversation, which went like this;

Very nice finance lady: "Hello Mr XXX, can you give me your previous address please?"

Me: "Er, I lived in Australia for 4 years"

Very nice finance lady: "Sorry, we can't help you as we require two years of credit history in the UK"

Me: "But the car salesman told me this was already arranged and you just needed to speak to me"

Very nice finance lady: "Well they told us you have been at your current address for three and a half years........."

I have no doubt that if you have a poor credit history they may be able to help you, but don't take their word for anything,

Just so this doesn't look like sour grapes, there were 4 other guys waiting whilst I was there, all with similar stories.

FANTASTIC!.. Having been worried I'd never be able to get a new for myself any time soon.. We sell car finance made it happen! I was declined a number of times because of credit etc I literally had no hope.. I then applied for this with no hope just done it to do it! Didn't just get me a car they got me the car I've always wanted to say yes I drive this car! The process was super fast.. Drove away within 4hours of arrival! I'd like to thanks  the adviser who was such a good help to me! She didn't give up on me after being declined she insisted she'd meet my needs and she did so! She got me my car! Words can't describe how happy I am and I'd recommend everyone to her! Such a friendly and helpful person;) thanks again! 10/10

My friend recommended wesellcarfinance to myself as he got a car from them. i was unsure as i had bad credit and didn't want my time wasting, as well as having a busy job i couldn't get time off work. i got a call from a girl saying she was going to do an application with me. my friend was like just do it and see if you get accepted. the underwriter rang me back within an hour and told me i got accepted. i was very happy. i came down on Monday and chose my Vauxhall Astra 58 reg and was very happy with the service i got from them. thanks very much for all your help. i will tel my friend to come to you

Got my new car today. The person I dealt with told me everything from start to finish. Told me how long it would take. Gave me options of few cars. Went on test drive. Love my new corsa. Thanks for all your help

Got a few calls from their telesales staff saying I was approved. Was very hesitant due to the reviews but the girl I spoke to  was very lovely and told me it's a 100% gone through. Got there and was told I had to wait 2 hours for my paper to get checked. the sales person showed me a few cars within my budget and I drove away the same day. So far so good. Thanks we sell. Will be coming back next year

We applied with We Sell Car Finance after seeing an ad on Ebay.We read the bad reviews on here and called them to ask about it.

The girl said that in response to people saying they w ere accepted before arriving and then refused when they got here, was because they came with the wrong paperwork. 

She said for peace of mind, we could email over the paperwork we intended to bring with us so they could check it for us. The same girl telephoned back about 2 hours later (after we emailed over the paperwork) and said it had been printed and the finance had been set up - we'd missed the boring bits by doing via email.

 So on Friday 4th July we would just have to turn up, produce some ID, choose a car, wait a little bit while the car was check, serviced and valeted and then we'd be able to driveaway. We told her we liked the look of a Focus listed on their website, she said that particular model had gone but there were 2 others available. So with all the info we'd been given we set off via train, (3 hrs on a train) and because of the journey time and the fact the email said the appointments can take up to 2 hours we took our 2 kids with us.

What a loads of cobblers we were given!!

We arrived to a compound still under construction, with a number of cars parked up. All had finance or for sale boards on top.

We were greeted by a young guy who insisted that we hand over all our paperwork again, when we explained what had transpired the day before with the emailing and the calls. He said he was unaware of any of that and if we didn't hand over the paperwork we would not be getting a car.

Lucky that I bought it with us I thought.

He disappeared with the paperwork and quickly returned to show us round the cars available, upon questioning him about the 2 Focus' that they supposedly had, he told us that they had 'been sold that morning, or maybe earlier that week'. While he was trying to get my now annoyed husband back on side I stood in the compound and bought up their site on my iPhone, they listed 142 cars, and I searched each make and model listed. NOT A SINGLE ONE ADVERTISED ON THEIR SITE WAS AT THE SALE LOT!!!

The husband, not wanting it to be a wasted trip selected a couple of cars, every car we showed an interest in had 'been sold earlier'.

The car we found not sold, when switched on lit up like a Christmas tree, but the sales guy assured us they could sort it before they closed.

We went back inside with our kids, when you enter there is a desk to the right, to the left a TV that was showing the BBC Parliament channel, turned up to a deafening level, 3 small glass topped tables, with 4 chairs round each. A small office with a large glass window was where we were ushered into. A gentlemen who himself as the finance manager, he said that 2 of the 3 finance companies wouldn't even look at us because our credit was so bad, I asked how he knew that, he said his application department had checked our credit file (our credit isn't bad, just none existent, more about the credit check later).

He also said that the 3rd company that would help us, DID NOT offer the drive away same day that the 2 others did, my husband stressed that because we'd travelled all the way up here, if they could not get us the car that day we weren't bothered, as that would be 3 train fares!! Equalling well over 2 months proposed finance payments!! He left the room saying he would try.

Our daughter asked him where the toilets were, he led us out through a door just over from the desk in the main office, you see another office in front of you with a glass window, posh desk and ornaments, to the right is another office at the far end, and lots of closed door. In front of you as you go through this door was a set of stairs that we were told were staff access only, to the left was 2 vending machines and just behind them was 2 door marked toilets, one locked and the other you had to lift and push the door to open and close it!!

WE WERE NOT OFFERED THE USE OF NOR TOLD OF A CHILDRENS PLAY ROOM!!

About 30 minutes later we were informed that the finance company would not allow us to drive away that day, so my husband said we were not interested and that we'd leave it. We asked for out ID and paperwork back and the young guy disappeared. Then suddenly there were NO SALESMEN, they all just vanished!! I walked towards the toilets and saw all the salesguys all sat in the bottom office, chatting.

I walked back into the main office and gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited. About 15 minutes later there were 2 guys that entered and asked us if we were being served as they had an appointment. My husband said we were waiting for paperwork back as we had decided against a car.

There was another guy outside that had previously been in the office and had explained to us that he had travelled from down south and had been back in 3 times in 5 weeks since having the car from them and had given them a list that a local garage had given him about what was wrong with his car!

They asked us if there were more cars anywhere and I said that the cars listed on the internet were not at the compound, they said that the guy outside with the problem car had said the same thing and that they had seen enough, the car they really wanted was not there and they were going elsewhere.

Suddenly there was a flurry of activity from the back office, a well dressed sales bloke ran upstairs and there was shouting and banging happening. The finance manager came back into the front office, I stood infront of him and yes I was quite snotty, I said to him 'how long does it take to fetch paperwork and ID?, we've been waiting since 12:30 for it back, its now 1:20!!'

The well dressed bloke came back downstairs and shoved the papers back at me and told me to check it, my husband spoke to them, and all I overheard was 'you've just lost me 2 customers you need to get lost!'

I turned around to them and said that they were quick enough to take the paperwork and ID but as soon as we said we didn't want a car they suddenly didn't want to move at all - had they have done we wouldn't have been there when the 2 guys came in.

He was very rude and uttered an obscenity at us, in front of our kids!!

It seemed as soon as they saw potential money leaving they got very  rude.

On the plus side, going back to the credit file check I mentioned earlier. We have checked our credit file and NO CHECKS HAVE BEEN MADE on either of us, so how can 2 companies refuse due to our credit file WITHOUT CHECKING it?!?!

We have a nice car on our drive now from Available Car!! Much nicer, more professional and a much more pleasant transaction.

I advise everyone to AVOID WE SELL CAR FINANCE at all costs, they will waste your time, money and energy!!!
