When I Looked At Health Insurance For Our New Dog,
When I looked at health insurance for our new dog, I found that most had schedules of amounts that they would pay for any given condition. Having no way to know what the bills would be likely to be for any condition, I looked for a better alternative. Pets Best offered a very simple benefits schedule: For most conditions, they pay 80% of the amount, after the deductible.
Recently, our dog got pancreatitis. It was a real relief not to have to worry about the size of the bill when she suddenly got sick. And in fact, Pets Best gave us a determination on our claim online, and we had the actual check within a couple of weeks. Aside from a small charge for fecal testing (one of their exclusions), they covered 80% of everything after the deductible. This experience made me confident that the insurance really will be there when needed.

We Insured Our 4 Month Old Puppy As Soon As We Got
We insured our 4 month old puppy as soon as we got him, and about a week after his coverage went live, he smacked his elbow and it swelled up to the size of a golf ball! We were so thankful we had the forethought enough to apply for his insurance as soon as we got him, and took him in to be looked at by a vet.
We submitted the claim and it was denied, Pets Best Insurance said it wasn't an injury! They were trying to tell us that it was a sickness causing his elbow to swell up.
We went back to the vet and had her explain everything to us, and she stated that it was indeed an injury and submitted the claim for us this time.
It was again, denied, this time because they claimed it was a "pre-existing condition," when they had no reason to believe it was other than the fact that we had submitted the claim not too long after he became covered.
To cut a long story short, we are out of $250 for a vet bill that should have been covered, and now $200 in premiums for coverage they aren't honoring.
I'm very disappointed with this company, and feel like we were taken advantage of for wanting to take care of our puppy.

We are new customers to Pet Best Insurance and our puppy injured herself. The claim process was simple and payment was made less than 2 weeks after we submitted the paperwork. Everything has been efficient from the onlne policy insurance to the clam service.

I Have Done A Lot Of Research On Insurances Since
I have done a lot of research on insurances since I have a service dog who is in public more than most dogs, therefore the risk of illness or injury is higher than most. Of everyone that I have reviewed I have found PetsBest to be the best coverage for my dog and the best value for my dollar.
I have found that Pets Best Pet Insurance is indeed the best, and they pay per incident, deductible. An incident being all visits connected to treatment for a particular sickness or accident. For example, a broken leg requiring 4 follow-up visits would ask for only one deductible of $75, because the follow-ups are connected to the broken leg. Also pertains to sicknesses.
