Another Brilliant Repair
I called cusc customer service when I dropped my phone and the screen cracked. They told me to fill out a claim form and that I would need to pay an excess once agreed. The claim was agreed and then they sent me a repair bag in the post. I had my phone back within a week fully repaired. I was really happy with the repair and the service I received.

I recently lost my handset and needed to make a claim, I contacted CUSC and from the off-set they were really helpful. I was sent a claim form and a list of all documents that I needed to send in to help. I returned this the same day (which you can do via email) and within 24 hours I had a decision. ACCEPTED!! I received more communication stating that my replacement device was being dispatched. I am now in receipt of a device that looks as good as my original handset. The team were great and so helpful, they treated me like my claim was the only one they were dealing with. I would be more than happy to recommend CUSC and will be renewing my annual policy with them.

I was pleasantly surprised by the service I received. I claimed for a lost phone and was advised of all thing requirements. The advisers I spoke to were very pleasant and knowledgeable about the process. The turn around time was very good and the phone I received as replacement is in excellent condition

Fair And Honest Service
I have had my policy for 6 months, I read all my documents, I contacted customer service to ask about a claim, they told me the procedure, gave me advice about my network and useful numbers to ring. I lost my phone, I made sure I read my policy documents, made my claim and was greeted with friendly staff, good updates and realistic timescales, within 2 weeks I had a replaced phone and I'm happy, well worth the money!

Foneguard Or Dishonest Pier Insurance????
I have been with FoneGuard for a year, taking out the 13 months for the price of 12. Over a month before my policy is even due to expire they emailed me saying they would take a year's further payment. TWO days later they took it. Unfortunately I was out of the country so was not in a position to cancel (not that I should be cancelling yet as it is not due). On checking my statement they had taken two payments. I contacted them and they said they had no proof and that I would need to produce evidence. If I could do this, they would reimburse the overpayment. After jumping through the hoops of blanking out account details etc etc, I submitted the proof they needed to be then told that they still could not locate the double payment on their system and so would not reimburse the overpayment! They will not provide details of their complaints process and have none posted on line as required by the FCA. The person handling the complaint is patronising and obstructive to the core - clealry she has achieved her intellectual potential.
Also be warned that although taking out the policy with Foneguard, it is a company named Pier Insurance who you have to deal with. Addresses and FCA numbers do not match and I still have not been able to establish who they are and under what permission data was passed over.
My bank is now trying to resolve the issue and reclaim payment.

You'll Be Lucky To Claim Successfully. Escape Artits!
If you are thinking of taking any policy read all (I mean ALL) terms and conditions thoroughly before signing a contract. There would be an escape clause hidden some where in small print which they don't want you to notice. Same with all the escape artist businesses nowadays.
You will be better off putting away the money that you are planning to pay these leeches in a jar and use it when you need it rather than losing all at the end with a failed claim!

Service Was Great, As Long As You Don't Mind Waiting
I had to make a claim after spilling tea on my phone. The customer service was excellent, very polite and helpful staff. I sent my phone in for repair, and when they realised it wasn't repairable I was sent a cheque for the value of my phone. They did everything they said they would and I was largely very happy.
The big criticism is that the time it took from the day I lodged my claim, to the day I got the cheque in the post, was 4 weeks. Not ideal when you're stuck without a phone. I also had to pay the postage myself to send the phone in for repair.
I think the reviews giving it 1 star because their claim was rejected are a bit unfair, as that's partly your own fault for not ready the policy properly and knowing what you are/aren't covered for.

Better Than Expected
I insured with CUSC (the one including loss) because it was cheap never expecting to use it because I have never broken or lost a phone. However I did drop my phone down the stairs and smashed the screen, I then became quite worried and started searching for reviews. On reading reviews I was horrified and thought that I would have to live with my broken Samsung S3. However I made my claim and they were very friendly on the phone, the claims for that they emailed was simple to fill out, paid excess and they sent me a "jiffy bag" two days later. I had to pay for the special delivery postage(a bit rubbish)which I sent on a Saturday and they received my phone on Monday. The following day I received a call saying that it had been repaired and was being shipped out to me. VERY happy but lost a star for little things like paying postage, only number to claim being through a 0870/0844 number. hope this helps people.
