Never trust these. Worse experience.

I sent money using this company who promised to have quick delivery. I chose this company even other companies were giving me better rate as i need to make quick transfer.

They never sent money nor give me any reason why. I got receipt that funds are transferred. 2 hours later, the money was not there. I contact their help-desk and they said we do not know the issue.

money never received to my family. they have to sleep hungry due to their stupidity.

I send money through this remitly, the app don't let me choose between debit or credit, so i have to put it as credit they charge extra for this service and the

money that was going to be for an emergency is going to take 5 days to get to the destination, that's how bad they are

account locked for security reasons? i did nothing wrong, never even sent a single transaction. Wondering how these sites make any money. I am an adult, excellent credit, should be allowed to spend my money how i like, but these libtards think they know whats best for everyone. So i called the number but all they could say was read the user agreement, so i read it, still have no idea why my account is disabled or locked.

So I decided to use this Firm/Remitly to send money to Philippines. May 25, 2016 but mistakenly use a different Debit Card so I called them to cancel that transaction. It went smoothly! the person or agent I talk to said it will take 24hours to receive back the money! I was like that's ok, 24hours is no big deal for me right.... So 2 Days later I log in into by Bank online and I notice the cancelled transaction is still NEGATIVE pending!!!! I got mad so I called Remitly told them, Why the transaction is still pending thru my Bank.....the agent says! its really up to your Bank, It could take a week or two weeks, but I have the Authorization Code its 8065#0. Just call your Bank and give that Authorization Code to make the process faster. I was like ok... So I hang up the phone and called my Bank, so I told them my situation...My Bank never fails me on any complain I got... Anyways my Bank/Agent said that firm/Remitly should be the one to send a release to that transaction, saying they don't need that money because the member cancelled the transaction, so my Bank could adjust/refund that money for me! Then my Bank/Agent give me all the info, email address,fax number. Then I called back this Remitly, a second SUPERVISOR I talk to, So I told this Supervisor from Remitly what my Bank/Agent told me to tell them to do! Then his like ok Sir I can help you with that. His like give me 10 to 15 minutes to process this release letter then I'll call you back if this is all been done, I was like ok that's ok....So he called me back, He said its all been done/sent out to my Bank....I was ok good!!! and his like is there anything else I could help you with, I was like no! as long as I'll get my money back I'm good..... So done deal right.....NOT EVEN CLOSED!!!!! May 31, 2016 I log in thru online banking around 6pm still NEGATIVE PENDING so I called My Bank to DISPUTE the transaction. So I told them about that transaction release that remitly sent out..... and I found out from my bank that THEY NEVER F*&^KING DID SENT OUT THAT RELEASE, YOU GUYS A BUNCH OF F&^%$^KING IDIOT,LIAR !!!!

This is how my experience with Remitly. I submitted for funds transfer to India and wait for 5 days and after 5 days I get to know that transaction is cancelled stating had issue with my receivers account details (which works very well with XOOM and using it for last one and a half year, even in case of issue they refunded me in 24hours). When I called up the Remitly customer care they put me on hold for hours stating they are waiting for confirmation from their third party service and in the end they will tell you that their third party service is not accepting the transaction. I requested for refund they quoted me 7 to 10 days for giving back my money. Which I requested to make it fast and they suggested me to talk to my bank which is funny because simple logical point is how can my bank refund unless these guys send the funds. They were able to pull funds from my account in one day and it takes 7-10 business days for them to refund and when I ask for the reason they just said that's how their policy is. From this experience one thing I can say is I just gave them money for 2 weeks for no reason and I just feel like cheated by them. I read some worst experiences from others online but I just ignored it but now I realized I should have considered those strongly. After all this tragedy I get to know that couple of my friends also had same experience just that they did not write a review. Now its up to you guys whether you ok to wait for 2-3 weeks in case things does not go well. One thing I realized that 50 cents per dollar is not equal to the peace of mind that I get with other options. When you guys read this review I would suggest think 10 times before you want to go with remitly. If you were my friend I would strongly recommend not to go with Remitly ever because your hard earned money is more important than just wasting for someone who doesn't even care about your situation. Only thing you get from remitly when you run into issues is just word "Sorry" to hear but not your money and for sure the frustration.

So i sent money to my brother for emergency matter. Their Customer service said i need to send my SS id and govt ID as part of the requirements. So i took pictures fm my phone and email it to them. The next day i ask my brother and he said they dont let him get the money still. So i called again as they said they are verifying the documents but they already received it. Waited 3 days..and still they told me that they need to verify mg documents again????? Yes 3 days! What the F****CK!!!! are u serious? Jst to verify the documents??? Their people will alwYs respond u... WE WILL VERIFY IT" like a robot . That's a typical filipino customer service!! RED TAPE everywhere. Dont u know that ur clients are from different countries ?? Change ur policy and ur customer service attitude! !!! So ul get more customers. People go to XOOM.com very easy to send money...

I tried to transfer money through Remitly for a family emergency. My father needed surgery and their requirements for security are horrendous! They told me to send them a copy of my ID and bank statement for security purposes. I did their requirements and they still wouldn't let the transfer through. My husband did a threeway phone call with my bank and the Remitly customers service representative And they still would't let the transfer through. I eventually had to go to my bank and wire money that way because if I kep on trying to pursue the Remitly transfer, my father would be dead by now. I even told Remitly it was for an emergency surgery. They were very pleasant, "I am sorry." "Thank you for choosing Remitly" like memorized phrases that does not come from the heart. Almost Robotic in nature. This company is useless!

Remitly is easy, safe, secure and great exchange rates. Did my own research on Remitly and other remittance providers, checked all services, charges/fees, etc and went for Remitly. Since March 2015, I have used it about 6 times and have got very good service and glitch free transfers all those many times. They have an express exchange rate, and a basic exchange rate, both of which are locked-in exchange rates. Basic exchange rate is higher and takes about 3 days, but if 3 days transaction time is not a concern, it's rate is about 30 paise (0.30 Rs) higher than Xoom. For every transaction, you get email notifications from the time of debit from account to credit into target account. I didn't have to submit any documents on first sign up. After that, transactions are basically just 1 click. Enter amount, review and send. Simple as that! I had an emergency due to an accident in the phillipines and need to get money there ASAP. No reason was given to me as to why I was cancelled from remitly. Even spoke to the CEO, and was told to find another company to send your money. No reason given!

Sending money to the Philippines can be a pain. Sending offline? Forget it. I will not drive, park, and fall in line if I can send online. But when I tried other websites, they are so difficult to use and hide a lot of important information. Then they give me problems by not being on time or being vague about when the money will arrive and how much it will cost.

Remitly is never vague. They are 100% transparent. They tell me exactly how much I need to pay and how long it will take to arrive. They offer free transfers if I am willing to wait 3 days and only charge $4.19 when I need to send in a hurry. I tried calling their customer service once and they were friendly and made the whole process smooth and easy.

The only thing I wish was that I found out about Remitly.com sooner. That's why I'm leaving this review. Use them. You won't regret it.
