Ive had a SAGA credit card for over 5 years. It expired in January 09 and I was not sent a new card. On enquiring I was told (after almost 2hours of phone calls to various departments) that the card I used was to be replaced with a Platinum card for which I had to apply. I applied on the phone only to be sent a form to sign. A week later a request for bank statement, passport, utility bill etc. No acknowledgement that I have had a card for years!Im 77 and could do without the hassle!

Saga Put Me In Touch With Allied Irish Who Supply
Saga put me in touch with Allied Irish who supply the Platinum service. I tried to fill in the application online and it would not let me complete the form. I am retired, live alone on Pension Credits and was self employed before I retired 4 years ago...Saga have turned unhelpful since I started the process to get back some of my interest. I cannot get the Platinum card as I was self employed.I will go to the bank now and see what they can do for me. I need the card in case I have to face any untoward expenses.I always paid on time as much as I could afford, but never the full amount.
I found this review not helpful because...as a customer of Saga credit card I recieved a letter informing me of the card changing, I telephoned and the staff were very helpful.
