I would recommend them to all the other timeshare owners I have met over the years visiting our resort.I know many people who have had bad timeshare experiences and some who are still happy. So not everyone has a terrible experience as we did. It's nice to know that there are some decent companies who are able to help people.

I would recommend these guys to anyone who needs to escape the timeshare trap we were stuck in. We had a timeshare for many years, enjoyed it with our family and friends but the yearly maintenance fees were just too much as we both retired. Once we registered with a resale company the calls started and didn't stop, multiple companies had our details and we were just fed up in the end. We eventually went with a company who we thought sounded the most trustworthy to sell our timeshare. As stupid as it now sounds we handed over a fee for them to sell our timeshare on their website, they convinced us they could do this. They took our money and did nothing, when we went to them for updates they just fobbed us off. We realised we had been badly treated and were very upset.

Someone recommended Mercantile Claims to us and we gave them a call. They started work for us as soon as we gave them all the details about what had happened. Two months later they had got us our money back. It was the end we wanted to this experience.

There isn't much more to say, other than thank you! Thank you for helping us recover the money we lost to our timeshare resort. We did not think that we would ever see this money again. Being in our 70's we really needed to recover the money that we thought we paid out for an investment, as we rely only on our pension. Little did we know, it was not an investment it was just another timeshare with ever increasing maintenance fee costs.

You read about timeshare horror stories and you never think that you would enter into one yourself.

My Nan had a timeshare for years and I remember spending quite a few holidays there and we all really enjoyed it. It wasn’t until my grandfather died we finally decided to try and sell it. The resort were not interested in helping us do this at all and put obstacles in the way. We didn’t realise that no one wanted to buy them until we employed the services of a timeshare resell company. They told us to pay them a small fee and the timeshare would be sold within 4 -8 weeks. They never did sell it for us and just kept the money. Eventually we contacted Mercantile who walked us through the whole process step by step. We now have our money back that we spent with this company and no longer have the timeshare and worry for my Nan. Mercantile were kind to us and we feel really grateful.

I phoned Mercantile just as an equiry on a termination and a money back claim. I had been trying to get rid of my husbands CLC timeshare since he purchased it 4 years ago. My family and I were invited to attend a timeshare sales presentation from CLC back in 2014 and offered a free gift as an incentive. We went along as we hadn’t been to one before and were interested to find out more, plus a free gift is always nice.

After a very long presentation we purchased a Fractional Destination Club Ownership as it seemed like a great deal. Fantastic yearly holidays, the choice of 50 locations in 18 plus countries. We would have all the amenities of a hotel but without the cost. All we would have to do is book flights and pay for our food.

We were also informed that the purchase would stand for 19 years and after this period the property is sold and we would receive a share of the net profits. It sounded like a win win for us.

However, the problems started when we tried to book our second year’s holiday. The availability was awful and we couldn’t get anything in the resorts we wanted to visit on the dates we wanted to go. We were tied into school holidays, which is peak season but we were led to believe this was accounted for when we purchased in the first place.

We complained so many times, and every time we were told to simply purchase additional points and we will have greater choice. We couldn’t afford to do this and so just made do with what was on offer. To make matters worse, we saw some of the same hotels online available when we wanted to go, at cheaper rates. We had had enough when we saw this.

In December 2017 my husband saw an advertisement on Facebook for Mercantile Claims, so we contacted them.

They were really helpful and kept us informed of what was going on. After a lot of correspondence and months of waiting we have finally received a pay-out for compensation from the resort. We are so grateful as we really thought we were stuck with this burden until the end of the contract and stuck with the horrendous maintenance fees.

The compensation doesn’t override the amount of stress this whole experience has caused but it really helps our family knowing this whole saga is over.

I just can't thank you and your team enough for all the hard work you did for me, thanks to you it was very easy from my perspective, but I do realise how much you had to do behind the curtains.
