The code worked on my phone, but it came later than I expected. The time waiting was stressful because I needed the phone to be unlocked before I went abroad. It came after I was already on my way. Shorten the time is better service. Thanks, anyway.

My Alcatel - OneTouch - Pixi 3 - OT 4013 was not unlocked.I have checked the IMEI and Provider Code and these are accurate. Given code will not unlock OT 4013. I will not be trying this method again.

It took over 3 days to get the 'code', in my opinion that's a bit too long for such a price. I would look for other ways to try and unlock the phone. Unfortunately, after I had paid, I heard about other sites that charge way less and had a quicker turnaround. The one positive thing that I did like was that I received a quick response when I asked them a question through email, involving payment and how long this would take.

The time it takes to unlock a phone varies depending on the make and model, and the network to which the phone is locked. For some phone manufacturers, the process takes minutes (BlackBerry) or hours (LG), but for others, it can be substantially longer (Apple). Nevertheless, at doctorSIM, we are constantly striving to reduce the time as much as possible.
Please be very wary of unlocking services offering cheaper prices and faster turnaround times as they are not always legitimate. Make sure you choose a reputable unlocking company offering working codes and with a professional refund policy.

The information sent through was unnecessary as the phone was unlocked when the code was entered, so I tried to plug into iTunes and follow instructions but didn't actually need to. This should have been made clear that it was not necessary, as it has now worried me that I have not followed the instructions.

If connected to WiFi, yes it is true that often the phone recognizes a foreign SIM card and applies the unlock automatically.
However, as not always the case (e.g. the iOS is an older version and needs updating), it is necessary to follow the full step-by-step instructions we send in order to complete the unlock process.

I did this for my AT&T Galaxy 4s so my boyfriend could use it since he has Verizon. I got the unlock code and the phone said it was successfully unlocked. However, when he went to activate his SIM card, so he could use it as his phone, Verizon said they were unable to find the phone even when using the IMEI number. So it was unlocked but now I still can't use it. That's why I gave it a three star, my phone says it's unlocked but for some reason I still can't use it for Verizon. If anyone has any advice I would greatly appreciate it. I also got my unlock code the next day so less than 24 hours so that was good. Just sucks I still can't use it.

We are sorry to hear you are unable to use your unlocked phone on the network of your choice. We recommend checking with AT&T to see if the phone has been blacklisted for some reason or checking with Verizon that the SIM card inserted is not defective.

the unlock code you sent me I wasn't able to use it on my phone because my phone won't read any seems every time I put it in it says no SIM card so there is no good and then when I do put a SIMs card in there that works it doesn't ask for an unlock code but the SIM card is not activated so I may not answer the phone

Hello, I do not why I have done all the steps to unlock my phone but unsucccessfully. I have been reading on internet and it seems that this problem occurs more often with my type of mobile phone (SAMSUNG GALAXY YOUNG). It gives me a network error type (doesn´t recognise). Could I do anything more to unlock it, I have tried several possibilities. Kind regards,

Unlocking my phone was an overall smooth process. Receiving my code took way too long however, and I will probably use another company next time. My brother got his within the day (different site), and I previously unlocked a phone within a few hours. Otherwise, doctorSIM seems reliable. I haven't used their customer services, so I cannot comment on their helpfulness.

Some phones are unlocked within minutes, for others (newer models) the process can take up to three weeks. Was told if I paid for premium service I would get my code within 1-7 hours. It ended up being almost 24 hours and I thought I got scammed. In the end you did get my phone unlocked so I can't complain there, but it wasn't timely. Cheers,

I paid for the speedy service but the sim wasn't unlocked until the next day. I was under the impression it would be about 3 hours but it took 12. Happy that it worked though of course.

Another way of checking to see if your phone is already unlocked is by inserting a SIM card from two different network carriers. If you can make calls using both networks then the phone is unlocked.

Submitted my request on a Sunday then waited till half way through Tuesday to be told you couldn't provide a code. However! If I paid more money for a premium service then you suddenly could find a code. Why does more money make the code suddenly appear? Can't help feeling it was all a sham to pay over the odds having kept me waiting. Anyway I paid the premium because the waiting time would only be 2 more hours and got 2 codes with an explanation that it could be either. First one worked fine.

We have a number of unlocking services available to our customers depending on the current status of their phone. As a general rule of thumb, the lower the price the lower the success rate. The reason for this is because our standard services only scan local databases for your unlock code, whereas our premium services scan databases located worldwide. It all depends on where your unlock code is located and unfortunately, we have no way of knowing where until we process your request. Keep in mind that we always issue a refund if we are unable to unlock the phone. We are not trying to upsell a more expensive service, quite the contrary, we want our customers to unlock their phones for the lowest price possible. We don't think it is right to charge £80 in the first place when there is a possibility of the phone being unlocked for under £25.
