“No money received”

Price was agreed over a week ago (this price was lower than advertised/quoted). Told payment would be proceseed once agreed. Chased last week by email as still no payment has been received or now any email correspondence.

Many of us have reported them to Trading Standards and Watchdog. I have been waiting since 7th October and every time I call Phone Recyclers, I am told the money has been processed. They are liars and none of us will get our money. . Report them.

I have raised a small claim against the company in my county court, once found in my favour i still do not expect to receive any money so i will then escalate to the high court which will then instruct bailiffs to attend the business premises and retrieve my goods or my money.

i advise to do the same!

After emailing and constant nagging asking when I'll get my cheque.. I ended up emailing the couriers that they are using and trading standards and few days later I got my cheque...I sent off 5 phones that had hardly anything wrong with them and one brand new phone and all they gave me way £46.33 ... Never ever going to use this company again.

“This company treats you like mushrooms..best avoided!”

I must say from the outset that we were one of the lucky few, in that we received payment at the quoted price in 4 days.However,we had to fight for this believe me.They are a nightmare to deal with...we must've phoned about 200 times the last few days,only to be met by gifgaf voicemails or simply the phone just ringing off unanswered. When we did get through,we were promised payment that day (3 occasions), which then did not materialise. They do not answer your emails, voicemails or Facebook messages either. Therefore despite having finally been paid, after threatening legal action I must add, I would not use this company again. It has been a stressful, tiring and frustrating experience..something that you shouldn't have to go through when trying to sell a sodding phone. My advice is use another company, dealing with this lot is too much hassle.

“Tried it on but paid in the end!”

My title says it all really, as that just about sums them up. Phonerecyclers were not the best price for my mobile but one of the top five. I chose them after reading their terms and conditions on the website which seemed fair and to the point and thought it was a good idea to strike somewhere in the middle. I sent my phone recorded as in my opinion this is a must, especially if its a high end and expensive mobile. It was over the Christmas period so i appreciate that they took a bit longer to get back to me, which they did via e-mail offering me fifteen pounds less that originally quoted. They said my phone had various dents, scratches all over the front and back and that the edge to the front screen was peeling off! Quite frankly i wouldnt have offered a 10th of the price they had done for this phone in this condition!! But this wasnt MY phone they were talking about! I replied telling them exactly this and that i would not accept the offer and if they didnt pay me the original price quoted, they were to send it back. They didnt send my phone back but paid the full price into my bank one week later. You have to give them credit for trying!

“Still wait on payment ”

Now I wished I never used this site I posted my phone 11/08/2014 and they got it on wed 13th August I got told that apparently they hadn't received it but I know they did bec I track and traced on Royal Mail and it was signed by sayid now thur I got told that they were doing tests on phone and they will get Intouch to let me know when I will receive payment iv heard nothing why are they shut on Friday and sat and Sunday if I don't hear anything I will be contact again if no luck then I will take them to police bec I won't be treated like this by this company should be shut down if they can't keep there promise to customers

“Not recommended. Avoid, there are way better around.”

As others already stated before, the company will tease you with higher offer, then will write to you that there were "scratches all over the screen and back cover". Phone has been kept in a dedicated pouch at all times and the screen was "gorilla", so the only scratches existing must have been done by them. But I doubt there were any scratches at all. The point was to lower the offer and put it down below average. Today is the third day since the day they sent me an email in which they said that my "payment will be processed shortly". But there is not even one sign anywhere of that miserable, undervalued payment. Eh, should have read reviews first before sending anything to them. I'll wait until the next week and then send the case to the small claims court.

I think the good reviews on here must have been written by Phone recyclers themselves. When you have a bad experience you sure as heck want to tell other people about it to warn them but who goes out of there way to find a review site just to say how good it was if what you got was what you were expecting in the first place?

I got my money in the end but did threaten to take the matter further. They tell everyone that there's scratches on their phones when there isn't just so they don't have to pay so much. I wouldn't ever touch them again to be honest but if they already have your phone just keep emailing them daily they will pay in the end. Good luck

I had one good experience with them once where I got full amount quickly, then used them again and have received nothing and heard nothing and its been months. Have now put a claim in through the small claims court and reported them to fraud action.

Not as such, as others have said, they tempt you with a good price then claim the phone is in a poorer condition and so pay you less. Its more sly practice than a sham. I wouldn't use them again.

I had a reduced amount as thought easier then trying to get them to return it to me but if you have the chance say you want it returned as wish I had now as it was a perfect phone

I just kept calling and calling and made a nuisance of myself. Each time they promised the money would be sent. Only when I told them that I would be contacting Trading Standards did they beg me not to and send the money. It's pity none of us looked at these reviews before dealing with this company. I'd say don't give up, keep trying. If they don't answer the calls then leave a message saying that you will also contact Trading Standards. Good luck
