“Good service but you aren't going to get the original...”

I was originally offered £140 for my Samsung S9, sent it off and they came back with only £40. Obviously I turned this down as I had the phone checked and tested before I sent it off. Apparently the screen had LCD burns on full white screen. Never noticed this before nor did the person who tested it for me. I'd rather have kept it as a back up if it was only worth £40.

They can back saying the 2nd engineer checked it and it was only a level 2 degree damage and offered £80. Still less than the original offer. I did except in the end but be prepared to not receive the original quote.

Other than that it went quite smoothly and the staff I spoke to on the phone were nice.

Good afternoon,

Thank you for your review.

We're sorry to hear that you were not happy with the price you received.

Screen burn appears within the LCD layer of the device (this is the pixel layer underneath the glass on the front). This can come in two different forms and imprint or a glow. The most common imprint we tend to see if of the keyboard as this is the most common function used on a mobile phone. It can also come in the form of a red glow which appears around the edges of the screen. Screen burn is where the pixels create a ghost like imprint that remains even after the on-screen content has changed or moved. This is mainly visible against a white background. This can present itself in 3 different levels. For this reason, we offered you a revised price as we would have to replace the LCD screen.

The revised offer was due to a second technician looking at your phone and finding the screen burn at level 2, therefore we were able to offer you more money for your device.

Kind regards
